A Look At Ariana from 'Knowing Destiny' ( @evernightpub #erom #shifters #menage )

Today we have Ariana visiting from the story Knowing Destiny. Welcome!

Ariana, what would you like to tell readers about yourself? For instance, Where are you from? Do you have an interesting job? What brought you to the setting/point in the story where you come in? Etcetera...
* I’m twenty one years old and a student studying architecture at the local University. I was born in our small town near the USA/Canada border. I have been in love with Chase, the man destined to be our flock leader, for the last three or four years. He is amazing. Confident, caring, funny and gorgeous. He’s brave too, he just got back from a fight with the Shifters of the Land and I had to tend his shoulder, they really injured him. Lucky for the shifter genetics that help us heal so quickly. Only two more years of Uni left and I can leave the town if I wish. Staying here, knowing that Chase needs to find a mate and would never choose me, is torture. Not long to go now.

Are you happy with the way people perceive you?
* Yes and no. I like that people think I’m respectful, and I come from a good family, but they never try to get to know me better. I’m a bit shy. There’s so much more to me than what first look would determine.

What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
* Well I’ve barely been kissed before, but I know my own way around my body. After fixing Chase’s shoulder the other night I had to go home and make myself come, if only it were real. One day maybe.

What’s your take on Chase’s best friend Ben?
* Ben’s amazing. He helps everyone in town, he’s our equivalent social worker. He helps all the teenagers who need help establishing themselves within town, finds them jobs, everything. He even got my silly friend away from a married shifter who was becoming a little obsessed. Ben’s the best and any girl would be so blessed to have him, though I haven’t heard any of the girls boasting about him, so I don’t know who he’s interested in.

Where do you see yourself in the future? What do you hope to accomplish?
* I need to finish my Uni degree, then I’ll mate and have babies I hope. That’s if I stay. I couldn’t imagine marrying a non-shifter, but if I can’t have Chase, who am I going to mate with?

Now for some author information!
* My author is Tamsin Baker. Tamsin is an Aussie girl who just discovered erotic romance ten months ago. Before that, she would read sexy romance, skipping the plot and looking for the all the naughty bits. Since then, she has written erotic romance and erotica novels of varying length and has had fourteen published (so far!). She absolutely loves reading and writing! She has two other jobs, including kids and a hubby too – but writing is a passion that she has to indulge for fear of insanity.
* M/M is a passion of hers so even when she writes ménage, there is always an M/M story. She particularly enjoys writing female dommes, but she loves experimenting in all genres. Tamsin is learning to write and read more one step at a time. Soon, she’ll have stories published in every sub-genre of erotic romance – well that’s her aim anyway!
* Tamsin says, "I’d be happy to give away a copy of my first shifter book- Fighting Destiny. Please post a comment about the interview, leave your email and I’ll pick a winner in the next 5 days. Thanks so much for visiting."

* Chase, a golden eagle shifter, is destined to be the leader of his flock, the shifters of the air. But he has a few problems. He’s not ready for the responsibility, he isn’t sure who he wants as his mate and there’s the little issue of an unsolved killing to sort out.
* Ben is also a golden eagle shifter, Chase’s best friend and three time lover. He wants to be his best friend’s mate, but can he be honest about his feelings?
* Ariana is a young peregrine falcon shifter who has loved Chase for years. But why would he want her when he can have anyone he wants?
* Three shifters, three separate problems, all fighting to find out who they are and how they can love each other.
Be Warned: menage sex (MMF), anal sex, m/m sex

~ Excerpt ~
* “Oh Chase...” His name whispered through the open window had him turning back when he would have walked away.
* No way.
* Chase took a deep breath and peered into the window, knowing what he was doing was wrong but still choosing to do it.
* Ariana was writhing naked on her bed. It was an uncommonly warm night, and she obviously felt it, her beautiful skin flushed red.
* She was absolutely glorious. Her tight, feminine body rippled and shook as she pushed herself towards orgasm. One hand tweaked her tight, berry red nipples, and the other was between her legs where a patch of dark blonde hair marked the entrance to her womanhood.
* “Oh fuck, yes...” she panted, throwing her legs open.
* Despite Chase’s lethargy and injury, his cock hardened in his pants, thickening to a full erection. He ran a hand over the bulge and bit his lip to stifle the groan. He was tempted to pull out his cock and join her, but he didn’t want to miss a moment of her pleasure.
* Ariana gasped as she thrust two fingers into her pussy, over and over, her juices flowing over her thighs, the smell so thick Chase dug his fingernails into his palm to stop his own moan of arousal.
* “Chase, please, fuck me...” Ariana pulled her fingers out and rubbed her clit rhythmically in circles.
* She was fantasising about him. The thought had him ready to blow.
* “Yes, yes, yes...” She gasped, her body tightening and bowing up, and then she released, shaking and convulsing, throwing her head from side to side.
* Her eyes fluttered open, and Chase ducked down, painfully swollen.
* He heard her satisfied sigh as she settled into sleep, and he began limping home. He would thank her for tending him in the morning, but first he had a hard-on to deal with.
* Lying in his bed moments later, Chase came within moments to the exquisite vision of Ariana coming. But this time it was his fingers and his tongue that brought her to the peak. When his seed had pulsed out of him and the last of his energy was finally gone, Chase fell asleep with the knowledge that he needed to make this particular fantasy a reality.

A Look At Matt Owens from 'Chasing Matt' ( @eileengriffin77 @NikkaMichaels @evernightpub #erom #LGBT )

Today we have Matt Owens visiting from the story Chasing Matt. Welcome!

Matt, what would you like to tell readers about yourself? For instance, Where are you from? Do you have an interesting job? What brought you to the setting/point in the story where you come in? Etcetera...
* Hi. Thanks for having me on your blog today. I’m Matt and I’m a Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner in the Chicago area. I like to have the attitude that if I can keep my patients smiling, both my job and their visit to the ER will be much smoother for everyone involved. The ER can get pretty tense at times, so I try to use humor as much as possible.
* This is Chase’s story, but damn am I lucky to be a part of it. I enter the story when Chase - unfortunately for him, but extremely fortunate for me - winds up in the ER on a Friday night. I think that even if I wasn’t the one assigned to his case, my fellow nurse and friend, Caroline, would have gotten me assigned to him. All I have to say is thank goodness I pulled a double that night.

Is humor important? Why or why not?
* Humor is a huge part of my life and my job, making someone feel like a stressful situation where they might be in pain is manageable. As a nurse I deal with a lot of hurt, upset people and making them smile can make their trip to the ER go more smoothly.

What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
* When Chase threw his glasses across the room? I thought I was going to lose it right there. I have never seen anything hotter in my entire life. I plan on trying to find out if I can get him to do that again, and again…

What’s your take on Mr. Hodges?
* Mr. Hodges is awesome but has an unnatural fondness for Brussels Sprouts that neither Chase nor I can figure out. In all seriousness, he’s a great neighbor for Chase and has always been supportive of him and being out. Some people aren’t, but Mr. Hodges has never judged us for being gay. He still asks for help on his home repair projects, but Chase bought him a new step-ladder, so it’s all good.

Where do you see yourself in the future? What do you hope to accomplish?
* I would really love to go into physical therapy in addition to my work in the ER. Chase is incredibly active and is involved with several Rec Sports leagues. He’s gotten injured a lot lately (lowers my voice and whispers - Don’t tell him I said this, but he kind of gets into a lot of accidents.) and I’d love to be trained to help not only him, but others with similar sport-related injuries.

* Chase Williams is a gorgeous but painfully shy web designer whose long term boyfriend dumped him for being such a “nice” guy. His friends encourage him to get out of his nerd cave of a home office but Chase isn’t ready for change. Instead of meeting his buddies at the local bar he heads to his elderly neighbor’s apartment to lend a hand with a DIY project. When a wobbly step ladder leads to a banged up wrist and a trip to the ER Chase is convinced it’s the worst night ever. Then he meets his handsome nurse.
* Matt Owens is the boy next door who loves working at a nurse practitioner in the busy ER. Except for nights like this when half his patients have the flu. He’s more than ready to clock out from his double shift until he meets the sexy patient in Bed 4. Matt’s bedside manner is charming enough to make Chase consider throwing caution to the wind and going after what he wants for a change. But will Matt’s attraction to Chase be enough to make him to break his rule about never dating patients?
Be warned: m/m sex
~ Excerpt ~
* “Good evening, Mr. Williams. I’m Matt Owens, your nurse practitioner for the evening. What brings you into our beautiful ER this evening? Our sludge-like coffee? The horrible fluorescent lighting? Maybe our attractive scrubs?”
* “I’m sure the coffee is delicious, but to be honest? I’m exhausted, my wrist hurts like a son-of-a-bitch.”
* Nurse Owens must have been trained to deal with surly patients like myself, because he just chuckled as he looked at me with a smile that lit up his entire face.
* “No worries. I can tell you’re in some serious pain here. And trust me, I’ve heard worse. Let’s get you looked at so we can patch you up and send you home. Sound good?”
* I took another deep breath in and tried to focus on Nurse Owens as he began his medical spiel.
* “Mr. Williams on a scale of one to ten, one being ‘nothing at all’ to ten being ‘please kill me now’ how would you describe your pain level?”
* I cracked a small smile despite the pain. Any other day I’d have laughed out loud at the hot nurse’s pain level description, despite the throbbing pain in my wrist. Today all he got was a soft chuckle.
* “Look, my wrist is killing me, so I guess I’d have to say ‘Please kill me now, and make it as quickly as possible, please?’ I just want to know what’s wrong with it, so I can go home and pass out with some decent painkillers.”
* He looked over from the computer, his lips curving in a smirk. “Wow, that’s the nicest way I’ve ever heard anyone beg for me to put them out of their misery. You get the extra good drugs for that.”
* My eyebrow rose. “Really?”
* My hot nurse snorted before resuming his typing. “No.”

A Look At Eden Risk from 'Shadow of Perception' ( @KristineMason7 @GoddessFish #suspense )

Today we have Eden Risk visiting from the story Shadow of Perception. Welcome!

Eden Risk, what would you like to tell readers about yourself? For instance, Where are you from? Do you have an interesting job? What brought you to the setting/point in the story where you come in? Etcetera...
* I was born and raised in Wissota Falls, Wisconsin, a small town smack dab in the middle of boring and dullsville. Don’t get me wrong. It’s a nice place to raise a family. But, I had big dreams and even bigger goals. Before I ended up stuck helping run the family diner, I left Wisconsin and headed for Chicago.
* I’ve never regretted making the move to Chicago. Within a few years, I landed a job with one of the local TV stations, paid my dues doing grunt work and reporting less than desirable stories. Eventually I made a name for myself, becoming one of the best-known investigative reporters in the city. I’ve been featured in local and national magazines, have won awards for my reporting skills, and recently I’ve been offered the opportunity of a lifetime—my own, nationally syndicated investigation show.
* But fame comes with a price. I’ve recently caught the attention of an unwelcomed fan. He’s not only put me in a dangerous position, but because of what he’s doing, I’m now forced to work with my ex-boyfriend…the most stubborn, pigheaded, arrogant and sexiest man I’ve had the unfortunate pleasure of knowing.

Are you happy with the way people perceive you?
* No. I know I come across as unfeeling and self-centered, but I’m not. There’s a lot people don’t realize about me, things that have happened in my past that have shaped me, made me guarded, made me need to keep everything in my control.

If you were taken out of the story and placed into your author’s world, what would be the first thing you’d do?
* I’d hire a babysitter and take her shopping. I’m all for yoga pants and comfy clothes, but this woman needs to update her wardrobe.

If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them?
* I’m glad she’s married. Because given the chance, I guarantee she’d be all over Hudson. I also think she’d love to be involved in this investigation. Her stomach would probably turn if she took a look at some of the things we’ve seen, but the killer gave us one hell of a puzzle to solve and I know she enjoys puzzles.

What’s your take on Hudson Patterson?
* Hudson and I had an affair a couple of years ago. He’s one of those all or nothing guys. He doesn’t like to lose and will do anything to achieve his goals. While I admired those traits, not to mention his hard, chiseled body and what he could do with it, being with him scared me. I’d fallen hard and fast for him, but couldn’t let him know. I couldn’t trust my gut and risk the disappointment of another failed relationship. Now that he’s back in my life, working to stop this crazy, sadistic killer before he murders again, I’m having a hard time denying all of those emotions I’d refused to acknowledge when we’d been together. He makes it hard. Physically…I’m still attracted to him and can’t denying that I think he’s the sexiest guy I’ve ever been with. Emotionally…I don’t want to believe it, but he’s changed. Yeah, he’s still arrogant and still doesn’t like to lose, but I get the impression that he regrets our break up, that he wants us to try again. This time with trust and honesty. I do trust him. I might not always be open and honest about my past and feelings, but I trust him with my life. I’m just not so sure I trust him with my heart.

* My author is Kristine Mason.
* Kristine says, "I didn’t pick up my first romance novel until I was in my late twenties. Immediately hooked, I read a bazillion books before deciding to write one of my own. After the birth of my first son I needed something to keep my mind from turning to mush, and Sesame Street wasn’t cutting it. While that first book will never see the light of day, something good came from writing it. I realized my passion, and found a career I love. When I’m not writing contemporary romances and dark, romantic suspense novels (or reading them!) I’m chasing after my four kids and two neurotic dogs."

Shadow of Perception (Book 2 CORE Shadow Trilogy)
What happens when negligent plastic surgeons get a taste of their own medicine…?
* Chicago investigative reporter, Eden Risk, receives an unmarked envelope containing a postcard ordering her to watch the enclosed DVD…or someone else dies. No police. After Eden watches the DVD, a gruesome, horrifying surgery, she turns to the private criminal investigation agency, CORE, for help. Only she hadn’t expected that help to come with a catch. Her former lover, Hudson Patterson, has been assigned to the case.
* Hudson would rather have another CORE agent handle the investigation. Two years ago, he’d screwed things up with Eden…bad. And as more DVDs arrive, Eden and Hudson find themselves not only knee-deep in a twisted investigation, but forced to deal with their past, and the love they’d tried to deny.

~ Excerpt ~
* “Hey, Eden,” Hudson Patterson said as he shrugged out of his leather coat and pierced her with his steely blue gaze. “I see you got yourself into another mess.”
* The room shrank and her sole focus remained on the one man who had stirred more emotions in her than all the other men before and after him combined. Two years ago, he’d lit a fire inside her, and within months, he’d smothered the flames with his arrogance and bullheaded attitude.
* Based on the condescending remark he’d just made, she doubted his opinion of her had changed. His appearance had, though. Harder, darker, more dangerous. His brown, wavy hair now reached his shoulders and he needed a shave. Even without the worn, black leather jacket, which now hung on the coat rack, he looked thuggish in a tattered charcoal gray thermal shirt, low-riding jeans and black Doc Marten boots. The whole badass biker look shouldn’t have appealed to her, but Hudson owned it and wore it well.
* She glanced at his mouth, then immediately regretted it. Lust slammed into her belly as wicked memories of what his firm lips had done to her surfaced. Those unwanted memories collided into a kaleidoscope of naked skin, harsh moans and multiple orgasms. Even now, she swore she could still feel his rough hands urging her hips, spreading her legs, gripping her bottom. Could imagine his mouth on hers, or better yet, between her thighs.
* Hudson smiled. A smug, satisfying smile that snapped her out of her sexual spell and reminded her exactly why breaking things off with him had been the right decision. Her body might not have thought so at the time, and those urges to have him in her bed right now might still be strong, but her head knew better. Hudson was an arrogant jerk who exuded less emotion than she did.

A Look At Shawn Torien from 'My Biggest Fan' ( @LeaBronsen @evernightpub #erom #romanceonthego )

Today we have Shawn Torien visiting from the story My Biggest Fan. Welcome!

Shawn, what would you like to tell readers about yourself? For instance, Where are you from? Do you have an interesting job? What brought you to the setting/point in the story where you come in? Etcetera...
* Well, that’s easy. Ask anyone and they’ll tell ya I’m a guitar player who got lucky in the music industry. They say I’m a star, now, that I’m popular. It’s a pretty cool concept. As for where I come from, there ain’t much to tell. I dropped out of school and founded the band Bloodless. From there on it was hard work and a lot of small-club touring.

Are you happy with the way people perceive you?
* Oh, yeah. It’s amazingly gratifying to have so many people say they love my music and come to my shows. I’ve invested my whole life in this band, you know. I owe my loyal fans a lot, too. They’re the best. But if you ask what the management thinks of me, well, that’s pretty obvious: they’d drop my band if I didn’t bring in all that money.

Is humor important? Why or why not?
* Ha, good question. My new girlfriend, Sam, once said I’m always laughing, and it’s true. That’s cause I’m having so much fun. I love fooling around, being a total clown, making noise, and pissing off the tour manager and the roadies. Yeah, I’m a pain in the ass, but I see it as a trait of humor.

If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them?
* Oh, that poor girl would be totally infatuated with me. Not that she isn’t already *laughs* So that would be a bad idea. For her, at least. I for one would love to push one or two of her buttons!

What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
* It has to be the first time with Sam. It was incredibly hot cause I banged her on a commode in a dark hotel room. Damn, I was so full of feelings and need that day, I came way too fast, ha ha!

If you were to spend a day with a reader, what would you two do together?
* Depends. If it’s a guy, it would be cool to jam together. I could teach him a few tricks on my guitar. If it’s a girl, well… I guess I could show her a few tricks, too *grins*

* My author is Lea Bronsen. Lea Bronsen lives in Europe with her husband and three children. She's a fan of intense reads, the same way she loves intense sports, music, and rides. * Shawn Torien is a handsome, arrogant bassist with the groove rock band Bloodless. At thirty four, he’s seen everything, been everywhere, and all is handed to him on a silver plate, groupies included. His rock star attitude is questioned when the record company’s young webmistress Samantha joins the band to cover their life on the road. As she has crushed on Shawn for years, he takes great pleasure in teasing her and pushing her away... until he learns to know the woman beneath the surface.
~ Excerpt ~
* “Hey, Shawn,” a female says behind me.
* I hate being interrupted, but I’ve heard that voice before. Beer in hand, I spin around.
* Oh, Samantha from the record company. I don’t know if that pleases or annoys me. She’s cute, though, with long brown tendrils at shoulder-length, and hazel eyes glowing with warm intelligence.
* The alcohol makes me a little tipsy; I can’t resist the want to tease her. I give her the can with a grin and proceed to take off my soaked shirt, as if it’s the most natural thing. Damp body heat and the sharp smell of sweat emanate as I lift my arms in the air, struggling to remove the wet fabric, groaning.
* Once done, I drop it to the floor and cross my arms, making my well-trained muscles protrude, and scrutinize her reaction. Offering a little male sexiness has worked on most females before.
* Flabbergasted is the best word to describe her face. I flash my teeth as her gaze runs over my torso. She can’t possibly be aware of her nostrils’ tiny movements, revealing her inhalation of my scent.
* I let a moment pass, then ask, pointing at the can in her hands, “You gonna have that beer?”
* “Oh.” She straightens with a deep breath, regains composure, looks at the brand logo on the can, and shakes her head. “No, I don’t drink alcohol at work.”
* I like her voice. It’s soft, comforting, reminds me of my mother’s. But when she hands me my drink, the wolf in me wants to play. I cover her hand and tug while taking a step closer, pulling her toward me. She wears a discreet perfume, the scent of prairie flowers, I think. Her cheeks blush as she lifts her chin to meet my eyes, and her pupils grow feverish. She’s holding her breath.
* With my other hand, I grab her round, firm butt and press her stomach against mine.

A Look At Chase Williams from 'Chasing Matt' ( @eileengriffin77 @NikkaMichaels @evernightpub #erom #LGBT )

Today we have Chase Williams visiting from the story Chasing Matt. Welcome!

Chase, what would you like to tell readers about yourself? For instance, Where are you from? Do you have an interesting job? What brought you to the setting/point in the story where you come in? Etcetera...
* Thanks for having me on your blog today. I’m a web designer from the Chicago area. My friends rag on me when I go on and on about my job, so I’ll just say that it’s an amazing feeling when I can help create a better, more efficient web site for a person or company. And yes, I realize that makes me a total and complete techno-geek.
* The story is how I met Matt, who I think you’re going to talk to you next week, right? So, I come into the story on page one when my friend Brett calls, asking me to go have drinks with him at a local bar.

Are you happy with the way people perceive you?
* For the most part? No. Actually, the way people perceive me is part of the reason I even end up meeting Matt. I’m more of a shy, stay at my computer, hang out a home with a couple of good friends kind of guy. My ex, Stephen? He’s more of a partier. And my friends? They think I should get out my apartment and put myself out there more. What they don’t get is that at home or out, I just want someone who accepts me for who I am: a quiet homebody, who just wants to find someone with a good heart and a great sense of humor, but doesn’t have to spend every minute in a club being the life of the party.

If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them?
* *laughs* I think both Matt and I would be in for some serious trouble if the two authors of this story (Eileen Griffin and Nikka Michaels) were pulled into our world. I have a feeling they would immediately call up Caro (Nurse Caroline) to plan a night out. Then they’d drag me and Matt out with them, probably torturing us with multiple rounds of really bad karaoke. Caro would be in heaven. On second thought, let’s just leave the authors right where they are, okay?

What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
* *turns bright red* Um, can I point to Chapter Eight in the book and just leave that as my answer? Yeah. That right there. Hands down.

What’s your take on Mr. Hodges?
* Mr. Hodges is the best neighbor I could ask for. He’s older, so he asks for help with projects around the apartment all the time. But he’s kind and has helped me out in some stressful situations, like driving me to the hospital after I hurt my wrist. Now, he does have a certain fondness for Brussels sprouts that I cannot for the life of me figure out, but I’m pretty lucky to have him across the hall from me.

Now for some author information!
* My authors are Eileen Griffin & Nikka Michaels. Today we're highlighting, Eileen Griffin. Eileen Griffin lives in the Southwest but loves to travel and has spent many summers crossing Europe with nothing but a backpack on her back. She enjoys TexMex, lives for good wine, and has a certain penchant for purple unicorns. She loves reading all genres of books, but her current obsession is writing m/m with lots of boy kissing. The novella Chasing Matt, with co-author Nikka Michaels and published by Evernight Publishing, is her first published piece.

* Nurse Matt Owens paused and held my eyes for a minute before leaning over to type some notes on the computer. My skin flushed when he looked away. I liked the feeling of his eyes on me. I only wished he did it with personal interest instead of the clinical way he evaluated my injury.
* I shifted on the stretcher as he gently manipulated my wrist, his hands steady and warm through the gloves. The pain was mostly manageable, until he held onto my forearm with one hand, and flexed my hand backward with the other. I jumped and yelped, unable to hide how much even that small movement hurt. When he held my hand still and slowly moved his thumb in circles over the top of my wrist, my breath hitched. The pain of the injury mixed with a deeper pleasure that shot straight to my cock. I quickly shifted my good arm to cover my lap.
* “Pain?” Matt’s concerned eyes met mine as he moved his thumb, gently rubbing the swollen skin between my thumb and pointer finger.
* “A little.”
* “Pressure points can help alleviate pain sometimes, but right now you’re too swollen to receive any real benefit. This pressure point is called the Valley of Harmony, but I’m sensing this is less than harmonic for you.”
* I thought I saw the smallest hint of a smirk on his lips, but I couldn’t be sure since his face was still tilted down toward my arm. I cursed at myself for getting turned on by a nurse’s clinical exam.

A Look At Gail Barrett & 'A Kiss to Die For' ( @GailEBarrett @GoddessFish @HarlequinBooks #suspense )

Today we have author Gail Barrett visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Gail Barrett is the award-winning author of thirteen romantic suspense novels. A former RITA® and Daphne finalist, Gail has received the Book Buyer’s Best Award, the Holt Medallion, the Booksellers Best, The National Readers’ Choice Award, and numerous other awards. She lives with her husband in Western Maryland.

What are you going to tell us about today?
* My story romantic suspense story A Kiss to Die For. Available now from Harlequin.

A look into the story

~ Blurb ~
* Homeless Army veteran Sullivan Turner is nobody’s hero. His failure to save his fallen comrades proved that. So when a gutsy social worker gets caught in a drug gang’s crosshairs, he knows he’s the last man who can safeguard her and the pregnant teenagers she’s trying to protect.
* Former debutant Haley Barnes learned the hard way how to survive. After witnessing a cold-blooded murder, the terrified teenaged runaway changed her identity and hid to save her life. But when the killer tracks her down and attacks the girls in the homeless shelter she now runs, Haley knows the time has come to stand and fight. But to bring down the powerful killer she must confront her high-society family’s darkest secrets -- and convince wounded warrior Sully Turner he’s the hero she believes.

* “Then you’ll do what they say? You’ll go to a safe house?”
* “No. Not yet. I can’t,” she added when he hissed. “I have to try to get answers. If my parents won’t talk, if I don’t learn anything at the fundraiser, then I’ll reconsider my plan. But I have to give it a shot.”
* Frustrated, he gripped the back of his neck. He was starting to realize how she’d survived the streets -- she was too damned stubborn to quit. “Then at least take a cop as your bodyguard.”
* “No. It’s either you or no one. I won’t change my mind about that. I can’t. I’ll never figure out who’s involved if I tip him off.”
* His jaw clenched. Dread mingled with desperation at the thought of her taking on the killer alone. “That’s not fair.”
* A sad smile curved her lips. “Don’t worry, Sully. I don’t blame you for not wanting to do this. I’ve already involved you enough.”
* Suddenly feeling cornered, Sully turned to the window and scowled out at the city lights. She’d just given him an out. He should leave right now while he still could. But he couldn’t let her go to that fundraiser alone. He’d never forgive himself if she got killed.
* But how could he protect her? He was the worst possible man for the job. He swung around to face her again. “For God’s sakes, Haley. Why can’t you understand this? I’m not the man you need.”
* “But you’re the one I want.”

Welcome special guest: author Tyler Robbins ( @Robin_Badillo @evernightpub #LGBT )

Today we have author Tyler Robbins visiting. :)
* Tyler Robbins is the pen name of author Robin Badillo, who lives in a small Texas town and is the mother of four nearly grown kids, two boys and two girls.
* Tyler enjoys stepping out of her comfort zone and pushes the envelope on the stories she writes every chance she gets. She hopes her readers are just as thrilled as she is with the chances she’s taking.
* Always the optimist, Tyler is a firm believer that grey hair is merely God’s graffiti!
(Tyler also writes under the name Robin Badillo (mainstream erotic romance and paranormal))

So, Tyler, what inspired you to become a writer?
* I have always written, but never thought to actually write a romance novel. I’ve always used writing as a way to express my feelings through poetry, love letters to my late husband, letters to my children through the years and sometimes keeping journals. Writing, with the intent of becoming published, probably surprised me as much as it did everyone else.

When did you attempt your first story? What length was it? What's become of it?
* In 2004, I picked up a pen and a spiral notebook and just started writing a May/December romance. It was horrible, but I finished it. I then stuck it in a drawer where it still sits today.
* In 2009, I did it again, but that time I followed through. That was 16 books ago.

How many stories did you complete before you sold your first?
* The hand-written story was technically my first, but the first paranormal book in 2009, Retribution, was the first one I wrote with the intention of submitting for publication. I’d already completed the sequel and had begun the third when I pitched it to eXtasy Books. Retribution was accepted on the first query, as well as the other two.

What genre(s) do you write in? What drew you to write in it/them? What’s your favorite genre of all to write in?
* My first few novels were vampire trilogies because that was what I mostly read and already loved. Most of my stories are paranormal in nature, but all of the stories written under my pseudonym, Tyler Robbins, are gay, M/M erotic romance. One is paranormal, two are military and one is a “best friend’s brother”, southern themed story.

What are the best and worst pieces of writing advice you ever received?
* When I was first ready to submit for publishing, eBook format was still pretty new, so other authors I had met looked down their noses at digital publication. It was almost a, “You’re not really published until you’re in print,” kind of thing. Now, some of them have even self-published. The truth is, I was just as happy being digitally published as I would have been in print, and I’m still pleased with my success.
* The best advice I’ve ever been given and try to share as often as I can, is to develop tough skin. There will always be critics and bad reviews, but you must keep on keepin’ on. Be true to your heart; if writing is as much a part of who you are as it is for me— then WRITE!!

How do you celebrate/deal with acceptance/rejection letters?
* Please don’t hate me, but I have been very fortunate in that area and have never been rejected. *Knock on wood.
* If it makes everyone feel better, I’ve been rejected in other aspects of my life so many times I’ve lost count.

In regard to the book you’re promoting, which actor and actress do you envision playing the roles of your hero and heroine? If there’s a villain or other characters who are pertinent to the story, who would play those parts?
* Ohh, this question is always fun.
* I’ve pictured Ryder’s character being played by a very sexy Australian model/rugby player named Daniel Conn.
* I’ve always pictured Kyle’s character being played by a model named Chad Buchannan.

The book you’re promoting, is it a stand-alone story or part of a series? If it’s part of a series, please list the order the books need to be read in for maximum reading enjoyment.
* If all goes as planned and my muse cooperates, Aftermath: Guts and Glory will be the first of a series. The second, which has yet to be written, will be an F/F story I’ve already titled, Aftermath: Camo and Lace.
* I have no set plans as to how many there might be, I just have to follow my muse.
* Guts and Glory was sparked by a country music video I saw a while back by Lee Brice titled, “I Drive Your Truck.” You should all check it out. It’s a beautiful testament of a brother’s love and grief.

*** Now for some fun info… ***
What’s your favorite color?
* My favorite color has always been green.

Are you a morning person or night owl?
* I am definitely a night owl. Early mornings give me a rash. :)

If you could live anywhere in the universe, where would it be and why?
* I would live in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado or Montana. Maybe even the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee or West Virginia.

*** About Tyler’s book… ***
* As I had said before, this book was inspired by a country music video. I was very touched by the song, “I Drive Your Truck”, when I first heard it, but when I saw the official video, I was reminded of my youth.
* I recalled some of the most cherished days of my adolescence when my friends and I used to drive around our small, country town, racing up and down back roads, and “doin’ donuts” in old, abandoned oil fields in east Texas.
* I also recalled times when things weren’t so happy, when racing up and down those same roads and driving recklessly through the oil field were the only way to release the anger and frustration that often times accompanies growing up.
* Had I have been Kyle, the brother in this story, I would have done exactly as he did.
* That part of the book is about as close to revealing a part of myself to the readers as it could get.
~ Blurb ~
They might have shipped the soldier home, but his demons have come with him.
* When the brother he idolized is killed in action in Afghanistan, Kyle Barrett is rocked to his core. With his only confidant gone, Kyle struggles to deal with the loss, while fighting to keep his hidden sexuality a secret from his parents.
* If only he didn’t have to face them alone.
* Army veteran, Ryder Bishop has returned from his final tour in Iraq, when severe PTSD forces him to seek help through a new counseling program back home in Texas.
* Just when Ryder thinks he’s reached the end of his rope, he meets Kyle, and their lives take a remarkable turn.
* Can the grieving brother and damaged soldier find the peace they so desperately need? Or will they become another statistic when the aftermath of war hits too close to home?
~ Excerpt ~
* Kyle gripped the base and used his hand to jack Ryder off as he continued to suck and lick, until Ryder abruptly pulled back, and stopped him.
* “What?” Kyle’s mind whirled, and he fought to take Ryder’s cock back into his mouth.
* Ryder’s stomach muscles rolled, and his breathing deepened. He inhaled deeply before speaking. “You’ve seriously never done this before?” Disbelief resonated in his tone.
* Was he serious? He’s asking this now? “Never.”
* “Shit.” Ryder licked his lips, his eyes glazed over. “So that means,” Ryder skimmed his thumb over Kyle’s tingling bottom lip, “nobody’s ever done it to you either.”
* Kyle drew in a deep breath, doing his best not to bust a nut just at the thought of it. “No.”
* A gleam sparked in Ryder’s eyes “Lie back.”
* Chills wreaked havoc across Kyle’s flesh. Oh shit.
* Ryder’s eyes danced back and forth as though searching Kyle’s for an answer to a question he hadn’t bothered to ask. His brow bunched, and he eased closer. “Just don’t forget to breathe.”

Saucy Saturday ~ A Look At Naomi Clark & 'Silver Kiss' ( @naomi_jay @evernightpub #erom #shifters #LGBT )

Today we have author Naomi Clark visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Oh, such an open question! I guess we'll go with the basics – I'm a British urban fantasy and paranormal romance writer based in Cambridge. I live with my fiance (who is probably sick of werewolves!), my cat, and two snakes. When I'm not writing, I'm working as a PA and making a lot of perfume. When I'm not doing that, you can usually find me curled up somewhere with a good book and a cup of tea.

What book are you going to tell us about today? Is it part of a series? If so, what's the order the books should be read in?
* I'm here today with Silver Kiss. It's the first full-length novel in my Urban Wolf series, but the first chronological story is Wolf Strap, a Free Read from Evernight Publishing. The Urban Wolf series tells the adventures of former outcast werewolf, Ayla and her girlfriend, Shannon, a human private investigator. If you love werewolves, mystery, a pinch of romance and a dash of danger, Urban Wolf is perfect for you!

How'd you/your muse come up with this story?
* Silver Kiss was easy enough – I'd already written Wolf Strap and that short story left one or two loose plot threads for me to pick up. I've always had a passion for shape shifters and werewolf folklore, and wove that into both stories. You'll find plenty of references to werewolf myth and legend in Silver Kiss, and I've done my best to put my own, modern twist on the old tales.

Describe the heroine in five words.
* Ayla Hammond – fierce, passionate, brave, independent, impulsive

Describe the other heroine in five words.
* Shannon Ryan – caring, logical, clever, witty, grounded.

Who's your favorite character in the book & why?
* Glory, my drag queen werewolf! She's so glamorous and fun, and she knows how to use a pair of high heels as a weapon. What more could you ask for in a friend?

What's your favorite line in the story?
* So, so hard to pick just one, but I'll go with this: A pair of amber eyes glowing like hot coals in the shadows ahead of us. The feral.
* (I know that's technically two lines, but I just love the tension!)

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
Ayla Hammond has come home. After years as a lone wolf in a self-imposed exile she's rejoining the pack and trying to mend fences with her parents. She's convinced them to accept her girlfriend, but can a lone wolf change her ways? As if homecoming wasn't hard enough, Ayla also can't help getting involved in a missing person case. With pressure to solve the case mounting from the pack alphas, Ayla is starting to question where her loyalties lie - and if a return to the pack she left behind is really what she wants.
~ Excerpt ~
* There was something different about this wolf. He didn’t smell like Pack, but wildly foreign, an odor that both excited and scared me. I crouched low, ears flat, tail tucked between my legs as I watched. When he released his grip on the younger wolf with a snarl, the cub flopped to the snowy ground, exposing his belly with a whine. The dominant wolf nudged at his flanks, tail held erect in a classic posture of strength and the youngster scrambled back to his feet and shot off into the park with a yelp.
* For a second I thought the dominant wolf would chase after him, ignoring me. I stayed low, hoping to avoid notice, but the breeze was going the wrong way, carrying my scent straight to him. He swung his great head straight towards me, hackles high. I held my own submissive position, quivering with a cocktail of nerves and energy. He was a feral, there was no doubt about that. In all my years as a lone wolf, I’d never met a feral. They were almost mythical; werewolves who chose to live as wolves, cutting away their humanity in favor of the wilderness that lurked in us all.
