I'm wondering why the cargo of gold is "unusual"? Is it because of it's Historical significance or it's face value???

Good morning,
I'd like to thank C.R. for inviting me today and for the opportunity to showcase Byzantine Gold.

Hi Mary,
The gold cargo is unusual because the wreck is a dromon warship of the period. That type of cargo is normally found on a merchant ship. The recovery team posits different theories.
