A Look At Donna Gallagher & 'Laura’s Light' ( @donnag63 @TotalEBound #SO )

Today we have author Donna Gallagher visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Sydney-born Donna Gallagher decided at an early age that life needed be tackled head on. Leaving home at 15 she supported herself through her teen years. In her twenties she married a professional sportsman, her love of sport -- especially rugby league -- probably overriding her good sense.
* The seven-year marriage was an adventure. There were the emotional ups and downs of having a husband with a public profile in a sometimes glamorous but always high-pressure field. There were always interesting characters to meet and observe and even the opportunity to live for a time in the UK.
* Eventually Donna returned home a single woman, but she never lost her passion for watching sport, as well as the people in and around it.
* Now happily re-married and with three sons Donna loves coffee mornings with her female friends, sorting through problems from the personal to the international. But she's on even footing with the keenest man when it comes to watching and talking rugby league.
* Donna considers herself something of a black sheep in a family of high achievers. Her brother has a doctorate in mathematics and her sister is a well-known sports journalist.
* An avid reader, especially of romance, Donna finally found she couldn't stop the characters residing in her imagination from spilling onto paper. Naturally rugby league is the backdrop to her League of Love Series, published through UK publisher Total-E-Bound, spicy tales of hunky heroes and spunky heroines overcoming adversity to eventually find true love.

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
* Forty-two- year- old single mother Laura Harris devoted more than half her life to raising her son. She remembered the concept of having sex but it had been aeons since she’s actually been a participant - especially with a real flesh-and-blood partner. But it’s time to reclaim her life. Her son is a man now. And the rising star of the Jets rugby league team. Their future is brighter than ever and, for the first time, financially secure. But Laura is starting to think agreeing to have dinner with Trevor Hughes could be biting off more than she can chew. Not that she can’t see herself taking a nice big chunk from the absolutely gorgeous thirty-four-year-old sports commentator’s rump, he’s one prime piece of masculinity! She just isn’t sure how or when the whole sex thing will become an issue. She can’t even get past the what-to-wear step. Let alone the when-to-take-it-off stage…
* Trevor Hughes usually avoids the woman with substance - he has enough of his own demons to deal without trying to care for anyone else. But there’s something about the upbeat, sexy, one-woman-dynamo Laura Harris. The woman is pure sunshine and happiness. And that’s surprising when you look at what life has handed her. Nothing seemed to dampen Laura’s spirits and she quickly becomes someone Trevor needs in his life…Until misunderstandings come between them. Can Trevor put things right?

~ Excerpt (Explicit) ~
* “Decisions, decisions,” he moaned.
* “Mmm… Did you say something?” Laura hummed in his ear.
* “Just deciding what I want to do to you first—whether to get naked with you, or just eat your pussy first. I can’t make up my mind. It all seems so good.”
* “Get naked, Trevor. Let me feel the warmth of your skin against mine.”
* “Are you cold, honey? I didn’t even think…”
* “No, not cold—burning, melting for you. Definitely not cold, but I still want to feel your skin against mine. Flesh to flesh, no barrier between us.”
* Trevor decided that Laura was right—no barriers between them sounded good—but he had to move her so he could achieve that goal. As he gently lifted her smaller frame from his lap, ready to place her next to him on the couch Laura began to struggle. Worried that he was hurting her, Trevor let her go, let her move herself, only to discover that she had a plan of her own. Laura slid between his thighs kneeling on the carpet. The grin she gave him sent lightning bolts of pleasure through his system. Trevor remembered that look—that wicked, wonderful look. And so did his cock.
* “Here, let me help you undress. I promise I’ll be extra careful!” Laura giggled as she teased Trevor, purposely brushing her hand over the hardness in the front of his pants, then cupping him gently. “Hmmm, you feel kinda worked up again. Isn’t that how you described it last time? When you cautioned me on the zipper thing.”
* “Oh, hon, I’m past worked up—I’m about to explode.” Trevor gritted out.
* “Maybe I can do something to help, then,” Laura purred.
* She leant forward so as to reach the opening of his pants. With one hand, she carefully lowered the zipper completely—it had already been at half mast from when he had unbuttoned earlier to give himself more room, but now he was completely open. Laura grasped the waistband of Trevor’s pants.
* “Lift.”
* As he did, she pulled them down past his hips, repeating the motion with his boxers. Once freed, Trevor’s shaft stood tall, rigid. As if it were beckoning her, she could not refuse its call. She ran her tongue around the circumference of his erect penis, the mushroom-like head, the joining of his skin. She laved and licked, explored every bulbous vein, every satiny bit of skin that covered his impressive form. Laura loved the taste of him, the slightly salty, musky maleness. She lapped at the pre-cum that formed at the eye before swallowing his erection down into her throat, loving the moans and grunts Trevor was making.
* When he took hold of the sides of her head and drew her away, she didn’t fight him. It was time he buried that hard cock—that part of him that differentiated his maleness from her femininity—inside her dripping wet and throbbing pussy, where it belonged. “I need you, Laura, need to bury myself in you, want to come inside you.”
* “I need that too, Trevor.”
* Laura lay back on the carpet and spread her legs for him in an invitation for him to take her. She watched as he extracted a condom from the wallet he took from his now discarded pants’ pocket. He rolled the latex on and her mouth watered. Her folds wept with cream as the moment drew close—the moment she’d thought she would never feel again, that fullness she had craved for weeks and had been unable to attain at her own hands.

Welcome special guest: author Wendi Zwaduk @WendiZwaduk

Today we have author, Wendi Zwaduk, visiting. Wendi earned a BA in education at Kent State university and as well as a Masters in Education from Nova Southeastern University. She’s tried her hand at teaching, waitressing, and retail sales, but writing holds her heart. She also writes as Megan Slayer.

* So, Wendi, what inspired you to become a writer?
I read a Harlequin book and thought, gee, I can do that. Plus, I didn’t particularly care for the heroine and thought, if I’d written her, I’d have done this. Then I thought, why am I thinking about this when I could be writing it? So I did.
* When did you attempt your first story? What length was it? What's become of it?
2005. It was a NASCAR themed story. Started out at 70k because I thought I’d sell it to Harlequin. Chuckle, chuckle. They didn’t give it a second look. I shelved it for 5 years and then got it back out. Trimmed it down to 30k and resubbed it to Total-E-Bound in 2011. It came out in August of 2011.
* How many stories did you complete before you sold your first?
Five full length NASCAR stories, a firefighter novel and a stripper novel.
* What genre(s) do you write in? What drew you to write in it/them? What’s your favorite genre of all to write in?
I write in the contemporary romance genre and the paranormal, but I’ve dabbled in historical. Megan loves to write in the mm genre. Favorite? Racing themed books, but I love a spicy hot contemporary, too.
* What are the best and worst pieces of writing advice you ever received?
Best: Read. Lots. In your genre.
Worst: Wow, you should totally sub this—only to find out that they never really thought it was ready.

* How do you celebrate/deal with acceptance/rejection letters?

First acceptance? I screamed and ran down the stairs. Then we went out to dinner. First rejection? I cried. Shelved the book for a month and then made myself go back to it.
* In regard to the book you’re promoting, which actor and actress do you envision playing the roles of your hero and heroine? If there’s a villain or other characters who are pertinent to the story, who would play those parts?
For Megan’s latest work, Fire Woman, I’d say... Zac would be played by Billy Zane or Niall Matter. Atria would be either Dakota Fanning a little older or, and I know this is impossible because she’s dead, but a really good actress for Atria would be Jean Arthur back in the day.  Villain? Hmm. Bradley Cooper would be great as Niccolo – he can do the smarmy yet sexy look very well.
For my latest, Savin’ Me... Parkur is Brett Chukerman. Jacoby is very much Zak Bagans from Ghost Adventures and Juniper would be Evan Rachel Wood. Villains? I’m not totally sure. The producer is almost a Telly Savales looking guy, so probably him. But for the female villain...Winona Ryder with blonde hair.

* The book you’re promoting, is it a stand-alone story or part of a series? If it’s part of a series, please list the order the books need to be read in for maximum reading enjoyment.
Fire Woman is part of a loose paranormal series about the band Glow and is out with Changeling Press. Half of the members are elementals and the other half aren’t. It’s a rock/punk band and the exploits of the members. There will be four books in all plus a Christmas story! Savin’ Me is part of the Treble Anthology with Total-E-Bound. This is a standalone story, but works well with the rest of the stories in the anthology.
*** Now for some fun info… ***
* What’s your favorite color?
Blue, dark blue
* What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

Mint chocolate chip, but it has to be green with chocolate bits in it, not the white with minty stuff added.
* Are you a cat, dog or both kind of person?
Cat, but I have two dogs and two cats.
* Would you/have you own(ed) a snake or some other exotic pet?
Does a kid count?
* Which do you prefer: rain or sun & warm weather or cold weather?
73 degrees and a little overcast.
* Are you a morning person or night owl?
Night owl

She’s everything he needs...if he can withstand the burn.
Atria Moline isn’t your average photographer. She controls fire. Sounds fun, being able to scorch whenever you like? Think again. She’s lonely and desperate for the touch of the man who can dance in her flame—if she doesn’t immolate him first.
Zac “Iceman” Frost controls the stage with his band Glow. He’s not about to back down from Atria’s challenge. He’s got secrets of his own and his sights set on her.
Can they find love in each other’s arms before a threat from her past destroys their future?
(I wanted to write for Changeling, talked to the authors there who encouraged me and I subbed. This is what I ended up with and I’m thrilled.)

Three is their magic number. Now they’ve got to decide if the magic is worth saving.
Razrs Edge packed stadiums, fuelled by the inner turmoil and passion of the three founding members. The lights aren’t as bright and the crowds cheer a little less now that the threesome has parted ways.
It’s time to bring the magic back.
Parkur’s not convinced the split is for good. They were meant to be three. But can he write the music to convince Juniper and Jacoby to give him a second chance? Juniper and Jacoby want the triad intact. Is the love they shared as three enough to erase the destruction in their collective past?
Contains two heroes hell bent on making sweet music with the woman of their dreams, the rediscovery of passion between three people, hot manlove and ménage action, a little spanking, some toy play, and some bondage...oh yes...
(I pushed myself to write something for the anthology and had an editor tell me I had to. So I did.)

Welcome special guest: author Jude Mason

Today we have multi-genre author, Jude Mason, visiting. Hi C.R., Thanks so much for having me! I’m thrilled to be here.
A Multi-published, Canadian author, Jude Mason writes in a variety of genres, stretching the boundaries at every opportunity. Her work appears at Total E-Bound, Cleis Press, eXtasy in e-books, print as well as audio. There’s always something new in the works or coming out, so check out her website: http://www.my-haven2001.com/

* When did you attempt your first story? What length was it? What's become of it?
The very first story I remember creating was about a mermaid and a sailor. I was about 4, so the actual writing wasn’t good. Heck, I’m not even sure it got to paper. Length? Well, I managed to talk a few of my little friends into making  a play out of it. I believe the action too about an hour from beginning to end. As for what became of it, I’m not sure. Very possibly one of the parents I forced into sitting and watching the play found it and burned it. LOL
* How many stories did you complete before you sold your first?
Oh my! Thousands! Hundreds at least. I’ve been writing nearly all my life and I wasn’t published until I was in my 40’s. I had no idea I could be published until I found the internet. When I did find the web, I lucked into a small writer’s group where the publisher/owner of Amatory Ink took me under his wing. He asked me to write something for him. I did and he took it. (You could have knocked me over with that feather people talk about)
* What genre(s) do you write in? What drew you to write in it/them? What’s your favorite genre of all to write in?
I’ve written in just about every genre there is. The only things I haven’t tackled are yaoi and steampunk.
When I first became serious about being published, I wrote BDSM femdom mostly. Even now, if given my head, I’ll go back to it. I simply find it an easier fit.
My favorite genre!? I adore m/m and write in it a lot right now. Still, that BDSM sneaks in and if I can add a dominant fem in to the story, I’m there.

* What are the best and worst pieces of writing advice you ever received?
The best advice I can think of is to write what you love and keep doing it.
The worst is to write what you know. I’m a mother, homemaker, wife. Boring stuff here. If I wrote about that, I’d be relegated to the woodshed.

* How do you celebrate/deal with acceptance/rejection letters?
Acceptances are always a big high for me. Even after all this time, I still get chills when I get that email saying, yes. The celebration hasn’t changed much. I love a bubble bath and a glass of something bubbly.
Rejections aren’t so much fun, as you can imagine. I don’t get a lot of them because I mostly target things for certain publishers or anthologies. But, when I get them, I whine…a lot! It doesn’t last, though, and I try to find somewhere to send the rejected ms as soon as possible.

* In regard to the book you’re promoting, which actor and actress do you envision playing the roles of your hero and heroine? If there’s a villain or other characters who are pertinent to the story, who would play those parts?
In Fertile Domain, I’ve got two main fella’s and one very important woman. I’m not big on watching movies, so I’m honestly not up on who’s who or which up and coming has ‘made it’ so this is really a toughie for me.
Jax is young, a warrior with a heart of gold and an equal opportunity lover. He proud and not afraid to show his softer side, but he’s stubborn as a mule about things that are important to him. I see him as a young and taller version of Mel Gibson perhaps.
Trev is the man Jax rescues then falls in love with over the course of the book. Trev is shorter and has a swimmer’s body, with a scar or two from life’s little adventures. He’s a little scruffier and has a wicked sense of humor. I honestly can’t say who I’d want to play him.
The Lady Ebony is tall and her skin is the color of honey. She’s got long black hair and her curves are a little too curvy to be fashionable, by today’s standards. She’s also a bit of a princess, but in the story it works. She knows what she wants and gets it, or else. I could see someone like Angelina Jolie playing her.
* Is it a stand-alone story or part of a series? If it’s part of a series, please list the order the books need to be read in for maximum reading enjoyment.
Fertile Domain is a stand alone, right now-although, I could see myself continuing the story somehow. I love the harsh landscape of the book and while these characters have told their story, there are many others in the city, or surrounds, that might like to speak up.
*** Now for some fun info… ***
* What’s your favorite color?
Purple, always has been and it goes with nothing in my life, but I don’t care. LOL
* Are you a cat, dog or both kind of person?
I’m a huge cat person. I’ve had cats all my life and miss having one around right now. My last cat, Tequila, used to sit beside me or lay across my desk while I wrote. Very relaxing for me. When I first got her, she was 3 weeks old and the lady at the SPCA said she wasn’t sure she’d make it. She was too young to eat without help. I fed her by dripping milk off the tip of my finger for the first while. She’d ride around in the pocket of my sweater all day. Sigh.
* Would you/have you own(ed) a snake or some other exotic pet?
Well, this is a toughie. At the moment, I have no animals you could actually call pets, but I do have animals who come to visit. We live in a pretty rural area with miles of wilderness around. Our winters can get very hard. A few years ago, we had deer coming in who were suffering badly from the weather. I asked our local game department if it would be okay for me to feed them. I got permission. Well, those deer did well and they brought their young. That was the start of it. We now feed both deer and raccoons during the winter and try to keep them from eating the flowers all spring and summer. Those are my pets, sort of.
*** About Fertile Domain… ***
