..Julia, what would you like to tell readers about yourself?
......* I met Mark through the auspices of the amazing Madame Eve. I’d never been with a man before, not intimately, and I was beginning to think I never would. Seems like there’s a window, you know? Maybe eighteen to twenty-three?
......* Oh I’m sorry…how old did you say you are? And have you…? Oh, whew! I didn’t want to hurt your feelings if you hadn’t done the deed as they say.
..Does your author ever try to take over the story? And how do you deal with it?
......* Oh, she’s trouble that one! She often tries to lay out pages and pages of instructions, a syn…something, and we’re supposed to live our lives according to those directions. Really? Would you do that?
..If you were taken out of the story and placed into your author’s world, what would be the first thing you’d do?
......* Well, would I have Mark with me? I’d miss him otherwise. And I don’t suppose she’d share her man, she seems pretty attached. Actually, I’d love to go with her to a convention, sign my own books.
..If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them?
......* I would insist she go on a 1Night Stand date, assuming her husband stays in the original world. I think Madame would show her a good time. It doesn’t count as cheating in fiction, does it? I don’t know if Kate would buy that….but it’s a good fantasy.
..What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
......* My very first night with Mark, of course. I’m not sorry at all I waited, he was worth the wait.
..Where do you see yourself in the future? What do you hope to accomplish?
......* We plan to start our family soon, and travel, see the world. Mark’s brother is a pilot and he and his 1Night Stand date are our favorite couple to double date with. We always have a great time!

......* My author is Kate Richards. Kate Richards divides her time between Los Angeles and the High Sierras. She would gladly spend all her days in the mountains, but she’d miss the beach…and her very supportive husband’s commute would be three hundred miles. Wherever she is, she loves to explore all different kinds of relationships in her stories. ......* A pucker formed between her straight brows. “No, did you want me to be?” She jutted her chin toward him and dropped the hand that still hung in midair.
......* “Absolutely not,” he said, looking up and down the hallway. “I had asked for some extra towels…” He trailed off, and a moment of silence stretched out while they looked at each other. When she didn’t say anything, he smiled and said, “I’m Mark and you’re?”
......* “Julia.” She spoke so quietly he had to lean in to hear her.
......* She certainly didn’t act like someone who was brazen enough to book a one-night-stand with a stranger. “Just to be sure—Madame Evangeline sent you?”
......* She looked up and met his eyes. “Yes. May I come in?”
......* “Of course, please.” He stepped back to let her pass, following her with his eyes as she dropped her bag on a suitcase rack by the door and walked to the windows. She looked out, facing away from him. “Didn’t you get a card key, too?”
......* Standing between the parted draperies, she held it up for him to see. “Yep. I just felt funny using it when you were already here.”
......* He joined her and looked over her shoulder out the window. She froze when he stood so close behind her. That was a surprise.

..It's milestone time ~ Decadent Publishing's 1Night Stand series is 200!
..No, that's not an age joke, but it IS a major deal, and from October 14 to the 20th, the Decadent Publishing company and its people are going to celebrate the HECK out of this accomplishment!
..A few years back, Valerie Mann, Kate Richards and Olivia Starke proposed a 3-book series about a woman who sets up one night stands, and at the end of the dates the couples end up with HEAs. Then they chatted the premise up to a few authors they knew who decided they, too, wanted to write stories for the series. And then... Well, the series went all Mickey D's and became SUPERSIZED. And, here we are!
..During the week long event (Oct. 14-20), the Decadent Publishing Book Club will have 1NS author spotlights with a big Book Club event on that Thursday (17th), the 1NS and DDD blogs will be all 1NS-centric, and Kate and Val are going on a Blog Tour.
