......* I’m not sure, it just popped into my head, like all of my stuff. I wish my muse was more exciting, sorry folks!

..Julia, what would you like to tell readers about yourself?
......* I met Mark through the auspices of the amazing Madame Eve. I’d never been with a man before, not intimately, and I was beginning to think I never would. Seems like there’s a window, you know? Maybe eighteen to twenty-three?
......* Oh I’m sorry…how old did you say you are? And have you…? Oh, whew! I didn’t want to hurt your feelings if you hadn’t done the deed as they say.

..Does your author ever try to take over the story? And how do you deal with it?
......* Oh, she’s trouble that one! She often tries to lay out pages and pages of instructions, a syn…something, and we’re supposed to live our lives according to those directions. Really? Would you do that?

..If you were taken out of the story and placed into your author’s world, what would be the first thing you’d do?
......* Well, would I have Mark with me? I’d miss him otherwise. And I don’t suppose she’d share her man, she seems pretty attached. Actually, I’d love to go with her to a convention, sign my own books.

..If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them?
......* I would insist she go on a 1Night Stand date, assuming her husband stays in the original world. I think Madame would show her a good time. It doesn’t count as cheating in fiction, does it? I don’t know if Kate would buy that….but it’s a good fantasy.

..What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
......* My very first night with Mark, of course. I’m not sorry at all I waited, he was worth the wait.

..Where do you see yourself in the future? What do you hope to accomplish?
......* We plan to start our family soon, and travel, see the world. Mark’s brother is a pilot and he and his 1Night Stand date are our favorite couple to double date with. We always have a great time!

......* My author is Kate Richards. Kate Richards divides her time between Los Angeles and the High Sierras. She would gladly spend all her days in the mountains, but she’d miss the beach…and her very supportive husband’s commute would be three hundred miles. ......* I’m a Cuban-American businessman, born and raised in Miami, and the CEO of the Castillo Resort and Hotel chain. I was once married to my company, but my wife, Leah, made me get a divorce. Now the company is my demanding mistress, which is all Leah will allow. She makes me leave the mistress at the office.
......* Madame Evangeline, owner of the 1Night Stand dating service uses my hotels quite often for her date arrangements, which is how we met. Eve, that is. Well, that’s not quite true, she and I have never met, but we speak on the phone. She’s a mysterious Frenchwoman and can be…interesting. Other than Leah, she’s the only person who gets away with telling me what to do. Frankly, she frightens me. The woman can read minds, see into the future, the past, parallel universes, outer-freaking-space…. Maybe I’m more scared of her than my wife. Hell, strike that out of the interview. Neither woman needs to know that, they’ll both use it against me somehow.

......Does your author ever try to take over the story? And how do you deal with it?
......* Ms. Mann? She lets everyone run rampant in her stories. They lack discipline, tell her where they’re going, what they’re doing. She has no control over them.
......* I behaved. I believe I might be the only one though.
......* I refused to be anything other than my buff, tall, dark and handsome self. I sure told her who was boss. I mean, I’m smokin’, there’s just no other way to portray me.
......* Okay, Leah just typed that. This is what happens when she reads over my shoulder. Sorry.

......If you were taken out of the story and placed into your author’s world, what would be the first thing you’d do?
......* Make her write more. If I can find the time to run a hotel empire (while being super hot, signed, Leah), she can find the time to write. Maybe playing Candy Crush is the problem. (I love Candy Crush. ~Leah)

......If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to her?
......* Valerie Mann would finally understand what a completely orgasmic world she writes in. Maybe that would motivate her to write more. I’ll ask her.

Not that the reply would deter her in the slightest. Once she set her sights on satisfying her clients, nothing kept her from that goal. Which made her the very best at what she did.
......* He didn’t bother to hide a sarcastic snort. “I’m afraid to ask. Last time you called with a ‘special request,’ I had to pay my maintenance guys overtime to reinforce hooks in the ceiling. I still don’t want to know what that was about.”
......* “Not that I’d tell you anyway. But, I promise no hooks this time.” She hesitated, aware of the need to tread carefully. “Jackson, this woman’s profile is very sad. She lost her fiancé in Afghanistan nearly a year ago. She misses him desperately and has had a difficult time moving on.”
......* More tapping. Obviously distracted, Jack grunted a non-committal, “Uh, huh.”
......* “She feels a one-night stand with a man similar to her fiancé would bring her some closure.”
......* The rapid tapping paused. “Hasn’t she heard of counseling?” What sounded like the scraping shuffle of a phone being readjusted filtered over the line. “And how does fucking a stranger help with the grieving process?”

During the first two days of the tour & hunt, I've been sharing a continuing excerpt. Because what's been posted so far is too long to include in the HDH post, I'm putting it here to lead into Day 3's post.

* Butterflies and nerves paired up in Kiran’s stomach and danced the rumba. Not long now. He checked his appearance and outfit one more time. His thick dark hair stayed gelled in place. Black suit jacket and pants were lint free from what he could see in the mirror’s reflection. Crimson tie lay flat against his crisp white shirt. He retrieved the flower from the refrigerator and attached it to the lapel. With a deep breath, he left his room.
* On the way to the Shadscale Bar, he stopped outside the Mesquite Ballroom. Volunteers stood behind a table with a spinning drum that reminded him of the ball mixer at bingo games. After verifying his name and attendance, he filled out a card and popped it into the bin. His wish? To have enough money to make good on his extreme loan and be able to pay for a new place. He somehow had to make it up to Ivy for his stupid mistakes.
* After he arrived at the bar, one of the servers led him to a private table in the back corner. He sat facing the entryway. Moments later, a waiter brought over a plate of white cheese balls with tomatoes and thin slices of meat.
* “I don’t think this is mine,” he told the man. “I haven’t ordered anything yet.”
* “It’s on behalf of Mr. Bourbon. When you finish, I will bring you the soup. He will join you for the rest of the meal. He wanted you to get started.”
* The butterflies in his stomach dropped like pebbles, weighing heavy at the bottom. “Oh, okay.” Fidgety nerves had him wondering if he could eat, but he dug into the food anyway. Plus, he planned to continue drinking. Alcohol on an empty stomach would be a recipe for disaster.
* Kiran pushed aside his empty soup bowl, took a sip of his second drink, then caught sight of a handsome, tall man in a black on black suit with a dark gray tie entering the lounge. He wore a sunset-hued rose boutonnière as well. If the guy approaching happened to be Mr. Bourbon, Madame Evangeline had done a wonderful job picking out the scrumptious male specimen. Kiran loved the color of the man’s hair. He rose on wobbly legs.
* “Hello, Mr. Emerson. I’m Robert Bourbon.”
