a look at Libby Bishop & 'Son of Thunder' @libbybromance #ParanormalRomance

Today we have author Libby Bishop visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Libby Bishop is a paranormal romance/erotic author.
* She loves reading, writing, movies, Lindt dark chocolate, autumn, the SyFy Channel (Haven and Bitten!), and spending time with friends and family. She has one fat, fluffy cat who thinks she’s queen of the house…and really, she is.
* She also writes dark fantasy/paranormal/horror under the name October Weeks.

What are you going to tell us about today?
~ Blurb ~
Her hunt for a murderer is his way home.
* Rune is the grandson of Thor, and just as strong. Exiled to the realm of Earth for nearly killing his brother–it was a little misunderstanding– he has to find a way to redeem himself so he can get back to Asgard. And when he lands—literally—in the bed of a fiery redhead with an FBI badge, he realizes that she may be the key to going home. But helping Liv hunt a killer has one big consequence—chemistry. He can’t keep his hands off her, and there’s no way they can ever be together.
* Six years ago, FBI Special Agent Liv Winter’s best friend was murdered. Since then, she’s taken a two-week vacation around the anniversary of the death to try and solve the case. She’s used every available resource. Yet, her friend’s killer is still on the loose. She refuses to give up—willing to do almost anything to bring the person to justice.
* Apparently, almost anything includes trusting a god. And while she might need Rune’s help with her case, there’s no way she’ll ever trust him with her heart.

* She walked into the room just as he set the last bowl on the table. He pulled a chair out for her and waved a hand over the food—roasted chicken, potatoes, and carrots, as well as a large salad. “This was all I had to work with.” He folded his arms, smirking a bit. “You’ve never had it like I’ve made it.”
* She raised an eyebrow as she took a seat, seemingly unmoved. “I’ve had this meal a thousand times,” she said, putting the napkin on her lap. “It certainly smells delicious, but what makes you think it’ll be different this time?”
* He winked, taking his seat. “Try it, then tell me what’s different.”
* His words were meant as a challenge, and she smiled as she picked up her knife and fork. “All right, Rune. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
* He waited patiently as she started with a carrot, then a potato. All she gave him was a “Hmm,” then she cut a piece of chicken. He was hoping for more of a reaction, and frowned as she ate the chicken without so much as a glimmer of what she was thinking, or how good he damn well knew the food was.
* She appeared to be completely unimpressed.
* He growled, angry at her non-reaction. How dare she insult his cooking in such a way? He prided himself on his ability to make women practically fall on their knees in front of him just from one bite of food. He shoved the chair back and stood, pointing a finger at her, but stopped when she giggled.
* “Sweet Odin, Viking—you are touchy.”
* “I dare you to defy how good that is. Dare you.”
* “Oooh, a tantrum from a god.” She rolled her eyes. She picked up two carrots with her fork and lifted them to her mouth, but paused before eating them. “How original.”
* That did it. “Woman, don’t test me—I’m a god, and you’ll lose.”

a look at Naomi Clark & 'Night and Chaos' @naomi_jay @evernightpub #UrbanFantasy

I love a good reunited lovers story. There's so much scope for drama and emotion, misunderstandings, rediscovery, and good old-fashioned lust. NIGHT AND CHAOS has all those things, as Ryan is thrown back together with Jackson, the man she abandoned six years ago. You'll learn her reasons for doing so...Whether she can convince herself and Jackson that she made the right choice is another story!

Ryan and Jackson's journey is only just beginning, and I've got two more books to write before they get their ending (happy or otherwise...), but I hope this first book will persuade you to come on that journey with them.

Ryan's past isn't just haunting her. It's trying to kill her.

Ryan McCarthy fled Kimberlyn Island, her father, and her lover six years ago, desperate to build a life away from the weird science and supernatural experiments of her childhood. But everything she hoped to escape comes back with a vengeance when she's kidnapped and tortured by a possessed madman out for revenge on the man responsible for his possession: Ryan's father.

Now, reunited with the lover she abandoned, Ryan is forced back into a world of danger and darkness she no longer understands, pursued by enemies with powers she can't fathom. But Ryan's not entirely powerless herself. She'll have to use every trick she knows—as well as the mystic gift she hates—to stay ahead of those enemies. And that will be easier said than done.

Jackson’s eyes shone in the dark when he turned to look at me. “You awake?” he asked.

I considered pretending to be asleep, decided it wouldn’t achieve anything. “Yes.”

“You okay?”

I considered that too, not sure of the answer. “I don’t know. I’m exhausted. That’s all I can really say for sure right now.”

He was quiet for a while, just breathing softly again, and I wondered if he’d fallen asleep. Then he said, “I didn’t mean to bully you into coming to London, you know. If you want to stay here...”

“No, I want to come,” I cut in. “I can’t stay here.” Alright, that probably didn’t spin it in the best light, but Jackson didn’t seem to notice the back-handed compliment.

“I’m glad you’re coming. I’m glad you’re here. It’s not exactly how I imagined our reunion, but I’m still glad.”

I couldn’t be sure, but I thought he was smiling. Despite myself, I had to smile back. “And how did you imagine it? Us running across flower-filled meadows to kiss in the rain?”

“I don’t know, really.” There was a rustle of material and he pulled himself out of his makeshift bed of bundled-up towels and clothes and sat up, arms resting on his knees. He stared away from me now. “I guess I always figured you’d come home eventually.”

I twisted onto my side, propping my head up on my hand and tangling my fingers in my hair. “I wouldn’t have,” I whispered, heart aching for him. Why did he wait? Had he really believed I’d come back, knowing how much I hated Kimberlyn and APTT? Surely not. Guilt lanced me, like I’d stolen something from him. I suppose I had, in a way. Six years of his life, wasted on waiting for me.

“Didn’t I make you happy enough?” he asked.

My throat closed up and tears stung my eyes. “Jackson, don’t.”

About the Author
Naomi likes writing, perfume, fancy tea, and unfathomable monsters from the dark spaces between the stars, not necessarily in that order. She has been writing stories ever since she learned how to write, but is still trying to master the art of biography writing. When she's not dealing with werewolves, demons, or sea monsters, she's hanging out with her cat and probably watching a documentary about Bigfoot. If the cat isn't available, she's with her fiancé watching cookery shows and silently plotting her next book.

Help ghosts, stop a thief, and try not to die...
* Necromancer Selene Vanream helps ghosts settle their affairs so they can move on. But when breaking the rules gets her in trouble, she's bumped down to tracking ghosts trying to avoid the afterlife. Ghosts like Ethan Lance, who claims he was kicked out of his body when someone else jumped in. Which might be plausible—if such a thing were possible. And if Micah, Selene's partner, didn't pull her into an investigation of brutal murders that lead directly back to Ethan.
* But when the whole mess puts Selene's life in danger, she suddenly has very personal reasons to get Ethan's body back. Between her uncomfortable relationship with Micah, and problems with her boss, Selene learns just how much trouble it can be when you don't follow the rules...

~ Book 2 Requiem for the Living Blurb ~
Selene is slowly dying...too bad that's the least of her problems.
* You could say that Selene Vanream has a lot of problems. First there's the Rot that's slowly killing her, despite everything Ilyse and Micah are doing to find a way to save her.
* Then there's Andrew, the ghost of her boss who is anchored to the living world. Selene would like to ignore him, but anchored ghosts with unsettled business turn into anchored beasties, so she can't write him off. The government has sent a team to post up at Affairs of the Dead and keep an eye on her, which includes making sure she plays up to Andrew to keep him from turning.
* On top of that, someone is using Selene's new power to create anchored ghosts for their loved ones to keep around. Not good since the culprit doesn't have a clue about that whole anchored beastie angle. Now Selene has a criminal to catch while trying to stay out of the hands of government goons who have stripping her reanimation power on their agenda.
* When Micah and Ilyse finally find a way to save her, Selene thinks she can cross one bad thing off her list--until she learns the terrible price that must be paid to keep her alive. Full plate doesn't cover it. Overflowing plate doesn't cover it. Selene's plate has damn near exploded.

~ Book 3 The Ravaging In Between Blurb ~
Sometimes death is only the beginning...
* Selene Vanream died—for two minutes. After being revived, she spends over a month in a coma before she awakes, free from the Rot and the reanimation power that caused her so much trouble. No one can explain how Selene survived killing Renton while he possessed her reanimation power, and her reunion with Micah is marred by the choices they each made to save her and stop Renton.
* But even though she's Rot free, she isn't problem free. First, she no longer has a job at Affairs of the Dead. And Ethan is missing and she can't track him down. Not only that, ghosts that were sent to the Afterlife with unfinished business have somehow crossed back and are trying to settle the score in violent ways. If that wasn't enough, Selene discovers that dying briefly has more consequences than she realized, because when she was revived, not all of her came back. Now she's straddling both the living world and the dead, and she will find out what it means to come back to life but leave part of her soul behind.

Tricia Owens & 'Descended From Dragons' #TriciaOwens @GoddessFish #UrbanFantasy #ParanormalRomance

Today we have author Tricia Owens visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Tricia Owens wants you to know that Las Vegas is actually a pretty cool place and you won't be eaten by a troll there. Probably. A former casino games dealer and cruise ship editor, Tricia has traveled extensively, visiting over 70 countries. She writes full time in several genres including urban fantasy and romance. Her favorite setting is her home town, the city of sin.

A look into...
~ Blurb ~
* Beneath the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas lies another city. A secret city in plain sight, full of warlocks and demons, shape-shifters and golems. A city that feeds off the chance magick that is generated by gamblers and which is ruled by mysterious beings called the Oddsmakers.
* It is in this strange underbelly of the occult that Anne Moody runs a cursed pawn shop for the desperate, the curious, and the magickally inclined. Though the job is boring, it keeps her under the radar. None of her customers have any inkling that she is a dragon sorceress with a power that's been feared throughout history. However dragons are no help when a stone statue ends up in her shop that is more than it appears. The statue is a gargoyle named Vale, who is shrouded in mystery and secrets. When she learns that Vale is possessed, and that the person responsible for cursing him plans to take over Las Vegas with a horde of demons from Hell, Anne realizes it is up to her to defy the Oddsmakers and save the city, and possibly the world.
~ Excerpt ~
* A shift of the eyes to the left. I followed Orlaton's line of sight to a riveted metal trunk that sat on the floor at the base of one of the bookshelves. Like a pirate's chest, it was sealed closed by a large, ancient padlock. The padlock was probably only window dressing. The real locks were magickal, and they would hurt you if you tried to break them, if not outright kill you.
* "I've made my mistake. I will never make it again," Orlaton murmured.
* His cheeks were white. His shoulders had hunched. As I looked at him, dread crawled up my spine like a spider. There had been horror in his voice. A wretched sort of anguish. Anguish still bound up in fear.
* I looked at the chest again. It didn't look so simple anymore. Now it looked like someone's nightmare.
* "What's inside it?" I asked, reluctant to hear the answer.
* His eyes shimmered behind their lenses. "Do you really want to know?"
* Orlaton had taken this somewhere darker than I'd intended this conversation to go. I wanted to back away from the haunted knowledge in his eyes even as a part of me wanted to defend him. Orlaton was no wounded bird, but something in that trunk had hurt him. Badly. I couldn't begin to imagine how terrible—how wickedly devious—it must have been to have slipped beneath his guard.
* I couldn't begin to imagine what it had done to him before he had managed to stop it.
* "I suggest you don't do what I did," he warned in a voice that trembled. He aimed a meaningful look at the gargoyle statue. "Some magicks…linger. Some magicks destroy you when you least expect them to."
* "I'll get help," I promised him. A name came to mind, one I hadn't thought of in years.
* His mouth thinned into the smile of a ghost. "I'd wish you luck, but it won't help you."

Chasing Power Cover Reveal
by Constance Phillips

For Keiran Saysin, protecting the fairy population from humans is more than a job. It is passion and his duty to the realm. Since Eero’s revolution failed—and the discovery of fairy power lying dormant in some of the human population, that job hasn’t been easy. Now that his sister and her husband are welcoming a set of twins, old enemies have come out of hiding, hoping the children will a serve as a key to reclaiming what has been stripped from them.

Enter Annie Valentine, the genetic researcher Daniel’s mother has employed. Keiran knows the smart thing to do is cast a spell and push the human away, but something about the way she stands toe to toe and eye to eye has him forgetting that getting involved with a human could cost him everything he values, including his power.

Monique can control any human with a flirtatious smile and an attraction spell. Until she meets Daniel Elliot, the only human who's immune to both.

After her parents' death and an unwanted proposal, fairy Monique seeks refuge in the human world. Her brother has warned her of the dangers, but she believes hiding will be a breeze. She can control any human with a flirtatious smile and an attraction spell. Until she meets Daniel Elliot, the only human who's immune to both.

Can Monique's brother find her and bring her home before she falls victim to whoever is killing fairies on the human world?

Will the reason Daniel's fairyproof be too much for them to overcome?

When Tristan Ipsly becomes eligible to fill a vacated Council seat, he thinks his chances are non-existent. Especially since he is the sole member to a house the fell to the revolution and his contender Edwin Vettore is an elder from a house that adheres to Canon teachings.

If fairykind has a chance at survival, it will come on Tristan’s wings of change. Or so Quinn Vettore believes. But voicing her support for Tristan will anger her grandfather, and he’s the one man who can stand in the way of a courtship between Quinn and Tristan.

Will Edwin successfully keep both Quinn and the position out Tristan’s grasp, or will the Council yield to change?

* She lives in Vermont. Autumn is her favorite season- October and November are her favorite months. Loves: reading, writing, movies (horror, sci-fi, and fantasy especially), taking walks, fishing, and family. Obsessions: Lindt dark chocolate and the SyFy Channel.

A look into...
~ Blurb ~
* Eight years ago, twenty-nine year old slayer Fiona Wesley was turned into a vampire. She survived her transformation but carries the nightmares and scars from the attack. Continuing to hunt the worst of her kind keeps her grounded, as does her new family. She does her best to stay away from slayers, but the past has a way of sucker-punching a person.
* Now, not only is she facing the beasts that turned her, but also the one slayer that’s given her nightmares. A slayer that was once her best friend. All of that just as she’s taking her first steps into the arms of the man she loves.
~ Excerpt ~
* “Fiona.”
* Her name was spoken softly, in an old Danish tongue, and brought her through a sleepy fog. She couldn’t remember… What was she doing? Looking down, she saw that she was in a towel, sitting on the floor against the cool porcelain tub. The water was turned off. I must’ve fallen asleep before I even got in the bathtub.
* “Sorry,” she whispered as fingers slid through her hair.
* This happened when she went too long between feedings, though this time it was not of her doing. The depleting of reserves happened more quickly in her because of her active slayer blood. She would wake to find she had fallen asleep, her memory cloudy as to how she gotten to where she was and often, though not this time, her vision would be slightly blurred. But she hadn’t felt an urgency to feed when she turned the bath water on.
* “Do not worry,” Mads said softly as he drew her to her feet so she wouldn’t feel so vulnerable with him. He rested his back against the wall as she fought to keep her head up. She was waking more and more, and realizing her surroundings.
* “Feed from me, Fiona. You need the blood, min skat.”
* Her body became aware of his closeness as he spoke, just as sunlight started to come into the room. She had not fed from Mads in almost two years, and she knew he had guessed the reason for that. It no doubt angered him to know she truly thought she didn’t deserve that kind of happiness, that kind of pleasure, after what she had done. And yet, knowing all of that, he never stopped calling her min skat; my treasure.
* “You need to feed.”
* The dawn began to golden the bathroom and she felt the weight of tiredness hit her again, anchoring her into it.
* “Everything happened too fast,” she said, barely audible. He laid his hand on the back of her neck. “You know that. Sasha must have told you about the strigoi.”
* “He did,” he said. “I know you do not wish to feed from me, Fiona, but my blood is stronger than all but one other in this house. It will strengthen you while you sleep.” His gentle tone made her meet his eyes. “You do not have to take much, just enough to replenish you. When you wake you will need to feed again until your reserves are full.”
* She sighed heavily and leaned her forehead on his chest when the rising sun bathed the room fully, sweeping over her. She inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of him, the luring sound of his blood in her ears. Masters such as he, as old as he, had blood that beckoned and tasted so good it was likened to the taste of chocolate for human women. So very tempting, and he was quite right—his blood would renew her system while she slept, and she could finish filling her reserves when she woke. The decision was easier to make with that on her mind.
* Common sense was a slayer’s best asset, along with trust in one’s instincts. It’s what kept most of them alive. And a slayer she still very much was.
* Mads sank a hand into her still up-do hair and massaged her scalp gently, and she let him feel her heavy need. He felt it when she made her decision and unbuttoned the last two buttons of his shirt, opening it wide enough for her to take from his chest.
* “Take from me,” he whispered in her mind, coaxing her gently. “Take what you want, what you need, of my blood, min skat.
* She moved her head slowly back and forth, caressing his bare skin with her teeth. Her canines grew to an inch in length.
* “Take from me.” His voice caressed.
* Fiona sank her fangs into his chest, just deep enough for a steady flow of blood. She retracted them so her mouth could cling freely to the smooth flesh just above the light covering of chest hair. He tasted far more enticing than she remembered: sweet, with a hint of honey and a touch of sea salt … and deliciously warm.
* His hand in her hair tightened as he held her head to his chest, his other hand lightly touching her left hip. She knew he was fighting not to touch her like he wanted to, that he felt this moment was meant to be relished for what she could give, not for what he could very easily take.
* “I forgot how good you taste,” she whispered in his mind.
* He growled low, and his hand tightened slightly on both her head and her hip.
* “You have enough, Fiona,” he whispered, regretfully. “You may stop.”
* Fiona took in one last swallow of his blood before stopping, letting out a moan that spoke volumes, even as soft as it was.

* With an ex from hell haunting his dreams, Sotarios Numida can’t catch a break. Thinking a trip to Earth to seek offspring of the Unfortunate One Hundred might clear his head—he thought wrong. Instead, destiny leads him right to the one woman that forces him to face his past and a secret he’s horrified to admit.
* Raine Holter is tough, focused, and dealing with a secret of her own. The last thing she expected to find during her usual daily grind was her soulmate. Especially one that can’t seem to make his mind up on whether to grip her close or shove her away. Undaunted, this little spitfire plans to thaw Sotarios’s frozen heart even if hers has to take a few beatings before he sees the truth.
* Book 8 in the Fueled By Lust Series yanks you right back into the lives of the sinfully sexy Insedi. One fast paced, jaw dropping, breath stealing, hell of a ride.
~ Excerpt ~
* Flinching at the stab of light to her retina, Raine looked up and spotted a gleaming-black SUV parking by the stairwell. Leaning closer she peered through the glass, unable to trust her eyes.
* “Is that him? Oh, man. It is.” Heart thudding, she scrambled to finish cleaning up the blob of hair she’d been slowly moving around the room and threw the broom behind the counter. Assured she didn’t have any remnants clinging to her T-shirt or jeans, Raine felt confident enough to approach the door again. He was still sitting in the car.
* “Good grief. How is it possible for him to be more gorgeous than he was last night?” Hands pressed against her belly, Raine realized she hadn’t been this nervous in years. She couldn’t get over how quickly he caused her internal organs to start flipping all over the place. As soon as she’d gotten a good look at his beautiful sapphire-colored eyes, she’d thought her skin was going to buzz right off her body. Five minutes into speaking with him and she knew she was a goner. Especially when he’d gotten all growly from spotting her injuries. That was so freaking sweet. From just the little interaction she’d had with him last night, she could tell he wasn’t a dumb jock. Far from it. She whispered, “Been around enough of them to know the difference, that’s for sure,” and discovered how close her nose was to the glass. Quickly passing a palm across the oval mist, she backed up a few steps and tried to act civilized.
* Skin tingling as she watched him step out of the car, Raine tried to keep from blinking. She didn’t want to miss one single frame.
* “Damn, would you look at that?” His powerful body was clad in a dark-blue muscle shirt, faded jeans, and the killer biker boots he’d had on last night. The sun twinkled off the silver chain circling his thick neck and cast a warm glow against his tanned skin. “Oh, just kill me now. That’s way too much perfection.”

A look at Naomi Clark & COLD NIGHT MOON @naomi_jay @evernightpub #LGBT #paranormal

Thanks for having me here on your blog today! I'm really excited to be sharing my latest release, COLD NIGHT MOON - book five in my Urban Wolf Series. This is a series that's really so close to my heart for a lot of reasons, and it's great to be back in Ayla and Shannon's world. I've been with these characters for six years now, and I like to think that each installment, whether it's a short story like this or a full-length novel, has expanded the world and see my werewolf ladies grow. In COLD NIGHT MOON, I get to play with some British folklore (always fun!) and give Ayla and Shannon a romantic break in the woods...well, a sort of romantic break, anyway. I hope you'll love it!

Excerpt

“We’re going home,” I said, hoping my voice didn’t sound as shaky as I thought it did.
“No! Can’t you hear her! It’s so beautiful, Ayla, I have to see… I have to find her…” She slapped uselessly at my arms.
I had to change position. I couldn’t really see past her head and if she started kicking, she could take out my knees with those heavy hiking boots. But I didn’t want to let her go to try and put her in a better hold. With a groan, I sort of rolled her in my arms so we were face to face. Her expression was one of angry hunger, nothing like the Shannon I knew. She slapped me, her gloves stinging my cheek.
“Let me go!”
I growled and hauled her over my shoulder. She kneed me in the stomach and pummeled my back, shouting now.
“Put me down! I have to see her!”
"There's nobody there!" I cried, frustration boiling over into anger of my own. "Please, Shannon—"
She kneed me again, knocking the breathe from me, and I stumbled. Her weight overbalanced me, pitching us both into the snow, with Shannon landing on top of me. While I wheezed for air, she tried to scramble off me, but I grabbed her wrists and clung on. The sheer panic on her face scared me. It was the intense, mindless panic of an animal fleeing a wildfire, a human watching a friend die. You couldn't reason with that, couldn't snap someone out of it.
She twisted and thrashed, trying to free herself, while snow soaked through my jeans and slid into my boots, sending chills through me. I was fighting the elements as well as Shannon, and whilst I could outfight Shannon if I wanted, I couldn't hold off the cold forever.

I gritted my teeth. "I'm so sorry," I said, and then I headbutted her.
