Hi! Thank you for having me on your blog. I hope you and your readers are going to enjoy what I have here. This short story was released previously as a part of an anthology, Just Desserts. As the only senior graphic designer at Downey Handbags, Zane Kotsky expected to become the head of the creative art department when the company planned to expand its business. His hope crashed when it turned out that the company wanted someone from outside to be the manager. Knowing that, Zane planned to leave the place at once, but that was before he met the man who would become his boss, Joachim Wessling. This is a previously published work. It has been revised and edited for Evernight Publishing.
Excerpt
“Downey must be very lucky to have you.” The kid—because that was what he was to Joachim, a kid—stared at him a bit too long. “Watch the road.” Zane snickered, and switched his attention back to the traffic ahead. “Lucky. Yeah, I’d call it lucky they decided not to kick me out after denying me what should have been mine by right.” Joachim hadn’t expected to hear those words. “I'm sorry. I don't have any idea what you're talking about.” Zane sucked in a harsh breath.
“God, I'm sorry. That was totally uncalled for. Forget what I said, okay? And enjoy your stay here. People at Downey are the best, or I wouldn't have lasted this long.” Joachim frowned. Honestly, he didn’t know this would be the case. When they’d invited him to join the company, there was no talk that someone else might be qualified to be the head of the art department. In fact, he was under the impression that there hadn't been an art department before, only a small division under a larger unit. “You know, I can always talk to Mr. Downey and set things straight.” Joachim had never before seen an expression change from slight panic to utter horror. “No,” Zane practically shouted. “You can't tell him that. You have to promise you'll never talk to Mr. Downey about the things I said. I'll be happy to work under you. Work together with you. It was just a spur-of-the-moment outburst. Promise me, please?” Joachim tried to think past the words work under you, and Zane's pleas didn't help the matter. He took a deep breath and gazed ahead. “Okay, I promise not to say anything, though I’d prefer it if we're all open and honest and don't hide things from each other.” “I’ve been open and honest with you.” “Yeah, and I bet you regret it.”

His brother slash boyfriend, Drew is leaving him. It makes Zach unaware of his surrounding and a hate-crime psycho takes him off guard. He is kidnapped and tortured. Zach is saved by the FBI and as a surviving witness, he is brought to stay with FBI Agent Eugene Harris.

Gradually, Eugene gets to know Zach. He should have been disgusted, but instead, all he wants is comfort Zach.

Will Zach accept that Drew is not coming back? Will Eugene finally have the gut to tell Zach how he feels?

Excerpt
“Come with me, Zach.”

"Hush..." Zach whispered. He wanted to treasure the moment as much as he could but it was him who pulled back first. “Let’s go,” he said harshly. “You will miss your bus.” His heart bled at how Drew stared at him in confusion, hurt in his eyes. But he knew he had to let go now or he would never be able to.

He helped Drew with his bags and grasped Drew’s jacket sleeve, hugging him tight and kissing him again, not caring who might be watching. Drew clung onto him just like he used to during those cold nights whenever they were alone in a motel room, and squeezed him for the last time, pulling back. Their eyes met.

“I’ll come back for you.”

Long after the bus was gone, Zach was still standing at the bus station, his heart heavy. Drew was his brother and his lover. Zach realized the unnatural nature of their relationship, but he couldn't bring himself to care. They only had each other in their lives.

Zach remembered one night. He had been nine at that time and Drew had been five. Rain had been pouring down the Earth for like hours now but there was no sign of stopping from the sound of it. Zach shot a wary gaze to the wide window and the thin lacey curtains covering it—a useless thing in his humble opinion—they could not stop him and Drew from staring right through the rain, let alone from the thunder and lightning that cracked almost every five minutes.

Alone only with little Drew in their small apartment—their father had yet to return, Zach did not dare shut his eyes even for a second. Not in this weather. Not when closing his eyes meant letting Drew out of his sight, although the kid was curled up right here with him, never far from his embrace.

A look at Iyana Jenna & 'Character Obsession' @IyanaJenna @evernightpub #Gay #romance

Today we have author Iyana Jenna visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Reading, watching movies, and being unable to find exactly the thing she wanted to read have led Iyana to write her own stories, mostly about man-on-man romance that has fascinated her since as early as the Starsky and Hutch era. Teaching and writing English course books during the day, Iyana spend her nights mostly dreaming of love stories between two men who are protective toward each other.

What are you going to tell us about today?
* Thank you so much for having me on your blog today. I visited with my re-released title, Character Obsession. It was published by my publisher, Breathless Press, but they were closed some time ago. I am so grateful that Evernight adopted this story. I was so happy with some additional parts suggested by my editor here in Evernight. I think they were a great idea!
Title: Character Obsession | Publisher: Evernight Publishing | Genre: MM Contemporary Romance | Word count: 14,800 | Heat Level: 3
~ Blurb ~
* Chase Riley, a Hollywood actor, is kidnapped. One of the abductors, Luke Nelson, is delusional and thinks that Chase is Elliot, the character Chase plays in his procedural cop series on TV. Luke plans to replay what happened to Elliot on the show with Chase. The worse thing is that Luke gets help from his father who seems to be as crazy as his son.
* Chase’s boyfriend, co-actor Aidan Buffett, is on a trip with his sister when Chase is abducted. He grows worried when his call to Chase goes unanswered. Will he ever see his boyfriend again?
This is a previously published work. It has been edited for Evernight Publishing.
Be Warned: m/m sex
~ Excerpt ~
* Chase’s mind whirled and before he thought of anything else, he grabbed the door and threw himself out—or so he thought. The man was faster. A lot faster. He seized Chase by his jacket and just—stabbed him in his side. Chase caught his breath, and for some time he didn’t realize what happened. He sucked in a breath and whimpered when the guy yanked the knife out none too gently. Chase felt his world darken so he didn’t notice when the man slipped out of the car, came to be at the driver’s door, and wrenched him out from behind the steering wheel. As his breathing turned labored, Chase grappled at the source of the pain on his side and winced as he grasped it.
* “Come on. Move.” The guy grabbed him by the shoulder and pushed Chase in front of him.
* Chase swayed in the man’s clutches, but he pulled himself up as he controlled his breath.
* Chase attempted to plant his feet as he was dragged up the stairs, but the pain had become too much and he could only comply. At one time the man rested him against the wall, took off his sunglasses, and pulled down his jacket hood, revealing himself. Chase gasped. The man was practically the mirror image of that Bob Nelson he met earlier at the diner, only rounder and much sturdier. And also a lot younger. What worried Chase was this man took off his disguise and didn’t seem too concerned he could recognize him. Not like Chase would be able to escape him and go to the cops, anyway. He was too sluggish to even move. They’d come in the back door, but not much attention was given to them by those at the front desk. Chase suspected that the man had stayed in the hotel long enough that he’d become just another familiar face.
* The man’s grip tighten around his arm, but Chase kept his glare toward the receptionist in an attempt to get his attention—which failed totally—for the guy kept his head down. As his abductor dragged him toward the elevator, Chase palmed his side and lifted his hand with dread. It was damp and deep red with blood.
* “Don’t do anything you’re going to regret,” the guy whispered to his ear as they got into the elevator, which, to Chase’s dismay, was empty. “I don’t want to have to kill you, Elliot. I love you.”
* Chase turned cold at the mention of his character’s name. “I’m not Elliot,” he choked out. “I’m Chase.”
* “Hush.” The man pulled Chase’s back against him, wrapping his long, muscled arm around Chase’s shoulders, waving the knife before Chase’s eyes.
* Chase began to tremble.

A Look At Iyana Jenna & 'It Never Left' @IyanaJenna @jmsbooksllc #gay #SciFi #erotic

Today we have author Iyana Jenna visiting. Welcome!
What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Iyana writes M/M short stories and novellas. Her works have been published by Evernight Publishing, JMS Books, Books to Go Now, Torquere Press, Bitten Press, Leap of Faith Publishing, Breathless Press, and Alfie Dog Fiction.
* Iyana lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. You can spend two hours on the road going to a place you can reach in half an hour in a normal situation. Thanks to the traffic jams, though, Iyana can come up with a lot of stories, mostly shorties, as she prefers to spend the time during her trips writing into her cell phone rather than sleeping.
* Another thing Iyana loves is kitties. Right now she has three of them. Their names are Cil, Horus, and Betsy, and one kitten. When she doesn’t write, she plays with them, or they would play with her when she writes.

How do you handle balancing life and writing?
* First off, thank you so much, Casey, for the chance to be on your blog. Your question here is interesting and…tough. :) Let me try to answer it.
* Honestly, right now, I find it’s very hard to balance my life and writing. My life, or let me just say my job here, demands quite a lot of my time. I work the usual 9 to 5 job as an English course book writer and I teach at the evening from 7 to 9 after that. It has always been like that for the past years but it used to be a lot more relaxing and easier for me to focus on my life as a story writer as well. What changed? Well, since October last year, I got promoted as the head of the department where I work. I feel excited and honored, of course, and I try my best to fulfill all my responsibilities.
* I feel proud to be the manager and to tell you the truth, as I’m always quite an ambitious person, this has been one of my goals in my career. To say that I’ve never thought it would be hard to have this position will be a lie. I kind of guessed what being a manager would entail. All those meetings, taking parts in various activities and committees, not to mention taking care of the department itself and my staff. One of the things my former manager told me when they appointed me the job was exactly this; that I would have to step back a little from my writing world (yes, I told her that I publish my stories but I didn’t mention what kind of stories they are. LOL.) to concentrate more on my job. I knew I would have to do that. What I didn’t know was that it wasn’t to step back a little. It was a lot and most of the times I feel too tired and sleepy when I get home. All I want to do is close my eyes and, well, sleep.
* I have to ask for apologies from my friends. I’d still love to put up their promo post on my blog but with the condition I’m in right now I can only post on weekends. I want to ask for their patience because sometimes, no, most of the times, it will take a long time for their post to appear.
* I’ve always said that I like writing into my cell phone when I’m on my way to the office or home. I still try to do that but what usually happens after I write one or two sentences? I nod off and fall asleep. I won’t say I have a writer’s block. I’m just too tired to write.
* Well, this is only the fifth month of me being a manager. Maybe I just need time to adjust. I hope I will get used to everything soon and I will live my other life as a story writer as actively as I did. :)
* Thank you so much for reading!

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
* After his boyfriend Jonah Wright defeats the alien queen attacking their hometown, Sean Cross thinks everything is solved and things will go back to normal. But normal no longer exists. Jonah and his other friends look and act too good to be true.
* Sean's suspicions grow after his search for a boy who stayed in Jonah's house, Ryan Godfrey, turns up nothing. It’s as if Ryan no longer exists. Can Sean save his boyfriend, or will he lose Jonah forever? And perhaps the most important question is -- did the alien queen really die?
~ Excerpt ~
* Outside it was dark already but Jonah could still spot a car in the shadow of a tree not far from his house. He closed the door quietly, not wanting to disturb his parents. Luckily they were in the house somewhere -- in the bedroom? -- so he didn’t have to explain himself.
* Jonah crept toward the car. After some time he realized it was Sean's car. What is it now?
* He could make out Sean's shape sitting behind the wheel. The boy literally jumped when Jonah rapped on the window with his knuckles.
* "Jonah!" Sean rolled down the car window.
* "What're you doing here?" Jonah hissed, heedless of Sean's reaction.
* "Jonah, get in the car." The heedlessness was infectious.
* "What? No."
* "Wilder, don't make me force you."
* "What do you want, Sean?" Jonah felt sweat break out on his brow and his hands felt cold. His heart beat so fast he thought he could pass out at any time. He didn’t remember Sean ever being so harsh to him, but he knew the boy was not a bad person. Jonah could easily trust him just as he trusted every single friend at school. What was this all about?
* But first of all he needed to save himself from Sean, who in the meantime had got out of the car.
* "S-Sean ..." Jonah whimpered. Before he knew it, a hand lashed out and his wrist was trapped in an unyielding clutch. "Let ... go! Let me go!" But it was hopeless trying to shake Sean’s hand off his. He couldn’t release himself. Sean wouldn’t let him go.
* A shriek tore out of Jonah's mouth when Sean suddenly whirled him around and squashed his hand to the small of his back. Another hand clamped over Jonah's mouth.
* "I just want you to get in the car, Jonah," Sean whispered in Jonah's ear. "Don't worry. I won't hurt you. Now come."
* Sean mustn’t realize that he’d hurt Jonah and frightened him. Shaking violently, Jonah could only submit as he was dragged toward the car. He muttered under Sean’s hand.
* "Huh?" Sean said in a low voice, and lowered his hand from Jonah's mouth.
* Jonah huffed and turned slightly. "You don't have to do that. I won't make a sound."
* Sean released Jonah's wrist as well. He gave a small nudge to Jonah's shoulder. "Sorry, Jonah," he muttered.
* Jonah flashed a small smile to say that it was okay, and shifted around to get in the car.
* Frowning a little, Sean stepped into the car.
* "Trust me, Jonah," he said slowly. "I won't hurt you. I just ... "
* Jonah stiffened and his eyes bulged as Sean unhurriedly brought his hand toward him.
* "Do you want to kill me, Sean?" Jonah quivered, thinking that there was a knife in Sean's hand.
* Sean's jaw dropped. "What? No." He showed a spray bottle to Jonah. "Don't you remember? It's pepper spray. Give me your hand."
* Jonah complied uneasily. "What are you doing?"
* “Jonah, don’t you remember?”
* Jonah just stared. He really didn’t get it.
* "I’ll just spray a little of it onto your skin, Jonah."
* “And?”
* “You’ll burn if you’re, well, if you’re ...”
* “Burn? If I’m what?” He couldn’t understand Sean. At first he thought no harm would come from the guy, but now he might burn him? What did he actually want from Jonah?
* "Sean, I think ... I think you have to go ... mmp!"
* All of a sudden Sean clamped a hand over Jonah's mouth, effectively cutting off his words and partly obstructing his breathing. Jonah panicked and began to twist about. But Sean, who was much stronger than him, squashed him to the car seat, and even Jonah's flailing free hands could do little to help him.
* Sean seemed to wait for some moments until all Jonah could do was to breathe through his nose. Then he felt something spurted on his skin, and nothing happened. He didn’t know what he’d do or say to Sean, not even to yell at him for having risked burning Jonah’s skin.
* Jonah threw a hand over his brow. His head throbbed all of a sudden. "What did you do to me, Sean?" he mumbled. "My head hurts. I ... I can barely see." Jonah scuffled toward the door on the other side, crawling farther away from Sean. "I ... I'm going to be sick."

A Look At Evan Foster from 'Ya Like That?' @IyanaJenna @LoveBitesSilk #Gay #BDSM

Today we have Evan Foster visiting from the story Ya Like That?. Welcome!

Evan Foster, what would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Employment? Funny you should mention that. I’ve just had the weirdest interview ever but it certainly offered the best incentive though later on I found out that the job was a lot…weirder. For some people. By the way, hi, my name is Evan Foster and… I lost everything. I lost everything in my life. Family, house, school, friends. I’ve been slaving myself at a fast food joint but the pay is barely enough to rent a room. I am desperate.

Does your author ever try to take over the story? And how do you deal with it?
* My author? You saying an author is to blame for what’s been happening to me?

If you were taken out of the story and placed into your author’s world, what would be the first thing you’d do?
* I’d kill him. I’d kill him for putting me here in the first place.

If you could pull your author into your world, what do you think would happen to them?
* Hmm, I wonder if Brian is going to like him…

What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
* Oh, I don’t kiss and tell, honey-bunny.

What’s your take on Brian?
* I knew you were going to ask about him. He’s great. No, he’s awesome. He’s always so gentle and he makes sure I’m comfortable.

Now for some author information!
* My author is Iyana Jenna. Iyana lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. * Evan Foster is left with nothing after his father screwed up their family company. Evan's father ended up in jail, his mother in a mental institution, and they lost all their possession to the bank. Evan dropped out of college and he still has to pay for his mother's treatment. He has a job at a diner but it isn’t nearly enough.
* Brian Donaghue is a millionaire with a multinational company but isn’t lucky in love. When he sees the picture Evan sends in with a resume, he’s immediately interested. But the way he ropes Evan into his company is far from conventional. Brian makes Evan an offer he can’t refuse.
* Or can he?
GENRES: Gay, BDSM, Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Fiction / LENGTH: 12,776 words / Novella
~ Excerpt ~
* Evan’s heart constricted looking at the huge manor standing before him. It reminded him of his family’s former house although that wasn’t as big as this. He shook off the mental picture and strode to the security post, another thing different from his family’s home.
* “Hi. I’m Evan Foster. I have an appointment with Mr. Donaghue.” The security guy looked him up and down, making him squirm.
* “Can I have your driver’s license?”
* Evan gave the man his driver’s license and got a visitor’s card in return.
* “Thanks.” He turned toward the house.
* “Wait. There’s a message for you.”
* “Huh?” Evan took the envelope from the security guard’s hand and opened it. There was only one small piece of paper inside and he took it out.
* Go into the house and come to the room at the end of the hall.
* Evan frowned. It sounded like a line taken from a bad porn movie. Or perhaps Mr. Donaghue just liked to joke around.
* Evan climbed up the short flight of stairs to the porch and reached out for the door knob.
* “Hello?” His voice echoed in the large empty hall. Inside, it was dimly lit just like it was outside the house. Evan braced himself. He had permission to be there and instructions. He might as well do what he had to do.
* Evan knew he had to get to the room at the end of the hall but he couldn’t help but feel intrigued and wanted to look around. Everything a mansion should have was here in this house: a vast welcoming area for guests, carpeted stairs spiraling up to the next level, and old portraits hung on the walls above the railing. Once he almost strayed, completely spell bound. He shook himself mentally and turned back to the hall.
* After passing several rooms and doors, he got to the end of the corridor. He guessed it was the one on the left, for the one on the right was some feet before that. Evan tried the door. It was unlocked and dark inside. He felt around and found the switch. His breath hitched at the sight he was welcomed with. The room was bare, save for the thick red rugs on the floor and another piece of paper. Evan was written across it. He picked it up, turned it over, and read another message for him. Suddenly all of the air felt like it was being sucked out of his lungs. His sight blurred and his knees turned to jelly. He staggered until his back hit the wall, the pain throwing him back to awareness. He looked at the paper once more, hoping that it was just a figment of his twisted imagination. It wasn’t. The message still read the same.
* Take off your shirt and shoes. Kneel on the floor in the middle of the room. Put your arms behind your head.
* What was that supposed to mean? He signed a contract to be a personal assistant and not some ... sex slave or something. Or was that what they meant by personal assistant? Bile bubbled up in his throat. So it was for this reason that they paid him high, huh? A high-class whore? Evan wanted to run away, not having anything to do with them or the man named Brian Donaghue, whoever he was. He just wanted to forget he'd ever brushed with this ... this kind of stuff.

When Craig Welthier Sr. took him in, Luke thought he was finally safe and protected. Little did he know Craig would turn out to be worse than any of his previous clients.
* With his father gone, Jake doesn’t know what to do with Luke. His three brothers see no harm in continuing to use their father’s slave for their own twisted purposes. Though he doesn’t think of himself as anyone’s hero, he knows what Luke has endured at the hands of his family is wrong. Can Jake stand up to his brothers to rescue Luke? Will Luke find his happy ending after all?

* Now Luke regretted not paying more attention to the other words Craig had spoken.
* My family. In the darkness, his world was falling apart.
* “Running away, are we? Forget it. Your place is here, among those of us who love you.”
* His eyes flew open as his head was yanked back by his curls.
* “And I see that you’re neatly dressed, eh? Since when have we permitted that?”
* A flash of fury flickered in Luke’s mind. You can't order me around, I don't belong to you.
* Alas, it seemed he could read Luke’s mind. The fingers around his arms tightened, so that he whimpered. His silent fury was replaced by trepidation. He looked up in terror at the man standing before him.
* “You don’t think you belong to us now?” Craig Jr. gripped Luke’s jaw tightly. “What? What, you dare to talk back now?” The older man growled as he saw Luke attempt to say something. Craig squeezed his jaw one last time before he released it. Vision blurring with tears, Luke panted for a moment before he whispered his answer.
* “I-I owe you nothing. My arrangement was with your father.”
* That earned him a brutal backhand across his face. Luke almost forgot to breathe, and the brother clutching him was so surprised he almost let go, which would have sent Luke sprawling to the ground.
* “You don’t talk to your owner that way,” said Craig. “Bring him inside!”
* As the two at his sides heaved him back into the house and Craig slammed the door behind them, Luke realized that this time, the door was closed to him forever.

A Look At Iyana Jenna & 'A Home for Jesse' ~ @IyanaJenna @jmsbooksllc #gay #romance

Today we have author Iyana Jenna visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Starting writing extensively after her obsession of The Lord of the Rings, Iyana finds herself unable to stop and keeps on writing especially when life gives her lemons. She only began to publish her stories this year after a constant nagging from a friend who thought it would be such a waste to keep the stories for herself. To Iyana, writing is never a waste. When not writing, Iyana sings, shouts, and jumps around with her kid pupils in the class, or travels around the country for her day job.

What book are you going to tell us about today? Is it part of a series? If so, what's the order the books should be read in?
* The title of my new release is A Home for Jesse. It’s a single title of an m/m romance novella.

How'd you/your muse come up with this story?
* I was inspired to write this story after I saw a scene in a TV series showing a character sleeping on a bench by the side of the road. It made me think of a homeless person who didn’t have anywhere else to sleep but a bench in a park. He had no place to stay, no job, no money.

Describe the hero in five words.
* Trey Miller is an actor, tall, handsome, not too dark.

Describe the other hero in five words.
* Jesse Gray is a homeless PA.

Who's your favorite character in the book & why?
* Definitely Jesse Gray because he leads such a sad life and I love angst.

What's your favorite line in the story?
* Jesse sighs, gathers his bags—his only possessions, and walks out of the gate. There is a park across the street, and benches are strewn all over the place. That should do for him for tonight.

A look into the story

~ Blurb ~
* Jesse Gray can’t get more unlucky. His roommate left him and he gets kicked out when he can’t afford the rent. Next, the owner of the fast food joint where he works part-time suddenly tells him he no longer works there. Jesse still has a job as a PA on a movie set but the pay will never be enough to afford even the cheapest room in Hollywood. There’s only one place left to stay the night -- in the park.
* Trey Miller is the star on a TV series where Jesse works. They bump into each other one night while leaving the set, and Trey thinks Jesse is much too good-looking to only be a PA. When he learns of Jesse’s financial condition, he offers a place to stay at his house. Having no other options, Jesse reluctantly accepts the offer, but what’s the catch?
Note: may contain sexually explicit scenes of a homoerotic nature.

* This ain’t so bad. Jesse pats his laden backpack. He stretches himself on the bench and lowers his head onto the bag, grimacing at the bumps pressing against his head and neck. Awesome. He is going to have major cricks and headaches come morning. That is if he’s not suffering from early signs of pneumonia.
* Jesse shifts and grunts and finally gives up. He sits up, takes off his jacket, and spreads it over his front before he lies down again. Moving a bit again to find the most comfortable position, he thinks, Fuck, now my shorts are stuck in the crack of my ass. Jesse reaches down and pulls them free -- ah, that’s better.
* He takes a deep breath. So he’s a bum now, is he? His ma would be heartbroken if she knew. She could blame him for being such a hard head and insisting on having his own way. Jesse stares blankly at the leaves swaying on treetops, at the shadows of the swings dancing in the dark, at the stars blinking mockingly down at him. At least the fact that they are up there means that the sky is cloudless and Jesse doesn’t need to worry about the possibility of rain tonight. Getting soaked when the only place he has to sleep is this park would be a pain in the ass, not to mention hazardous to his health. Jesse also hopes no cops will come patrolling tonight.
* Weary to the bone, Jesse curls both hands under the side of his face and gives in to slumber.

A Look At Jamie from 'This Isn’t Goodbye' - @IyanaJenna @evernightpub #gay #erom #rotg

..Today we have Jamie visiting from the story This Isn’t Goodbye. Welcome!

..Jamie, what would you like to tell readers about yourself?
......* I come from Jacksonville, Ohio, and I’m a photographer. I work at a fashion magazine. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Taylor MacLean, with one daughter, Janine.

..Are you happy with the way people perceive you?
......* Many people thought I was a hero because of what Taylor and I did when we were in high school. I was glad we beat those a** but the truth was, all I did was distract those guys. Taylor did all the rest. I wasn’t the hero. He was.

..If you were taken out of the story and placed into your author’s world, what would be the first thing you’d do?
......* Ah, I don’t know. Can I take Taylor with me? I’m not saying I can’t take care of myself, it’s just ... well, you know...

..What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
......* Every time I’m with Taylor is the best, err, sexual experience I have.

..What’s your take on Shane Logan?
......* I was so surprised when he talked about how he admired me and Taylor. I felt honored. He’s a great guy and I’m glad I met him. We’re really going to be good friends. Oh, and I love playing cupid for him and Kassandra. *winks*

..Now for some author information!
......* My author is Iyana Jenna.
......* Iyana lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. You can spend two hours on the road going to a place you can reach in half an hour in a normal situation. Thanks to the traffic jams, though, Iyana can come up with a lot of stories, mostly shorties, as she prefers to spend the time during her trips writing into her cell phone rather than sleeping.
......* Another thing Iyana loves is kitties. Right now she has five of them. Their names are Larva, Nyil, Cil, Mermood, and Horus. When she doesn’t write, she plays with them, or they would play with her when she writes.

......* Stay-at-home dad Taylor MacLean chose his life knowing he could rely on the trust fund from his rich grandmother. He didn’t have to work a day in his life. He preferred to take care of his baby daughter Janine and, when he was not busy changing diapers, he would get down to his art studio.
......* After finishing college, Jamie Selkirk followed his dream to be a photographer. Now working for a famous fashion magazine, Jamie spent more and more of his time away from Taylor and Janine, his husband and daughter. Can the couple learn to put each other first before their marriage begins to crumble? ..
~ Excerpt ~
......* Taylor went still for a moment before he let Jamie go. Jamie's body turned rigid a moment ago, a tell-tale sign every time his boy almost said something important. It disappointed him when Jamie only said that he needed an aspirin. Really, Jamie, an aspirin? Taylor had put a full bottle on the glass table in the living room next to the couch where they both slept last night.
......* "Go ahead. It's on the table," Taylor said in dismissal. "You would've seen it if you hadn't been so busy wanting to throw up."
......* Taylor turned around abruptly. He combed his hair back. He’d acted mean and thoughtless. He caught a pained reflection in Jamie's eyes. Taylor wanted to leave the room, this very second.
......* "Taylor?" Incomprehension and hurt chased one after another in Jamie's voice, and Taylor couldn't take it anymore.
......* "I heard something. I think Janine’s woken up."
......* "Janine." Jamie's trembling voice stopped him in his tracks. "I haven't seen her since ... since I don’t remember when."
......* Yeah, Taylor knew it must’ve been too long since Jamie saw their daughter. He'd stormed out of the house right after breakfast yesterday morning.
......* "Don't you miss her, Jamie? Or is your job and are all those parties still too important for you? More important than your own daughter?" It crossed Taylor's mind that she was Jamie's and not his, but he figured it would be mean of him to say that. They’d both agreed to use a surrogate, and they were married. It meant whatever belonged to Jamie belonged to him, too.
......* "I want to see her," Jamie said, his voice so thin Taylor thought he was imagining it.

A Look At Gene Scott from 'A Single Black Rose' ( @IyanaJenna @jmsbooksllc #erom #glbt )

..Today we have Gene Scott visiting from the story A Single Black Rose. Welcome!

..Gene Scott, what would you like to tell readers about yourself?
......* *mumbles* Uh, wha--? Why’re you following me? Get lost. Well, umm, I guess you need this for your blog, huh? Me has my own blog, too, err, sorry. No. It’s my pretty Sean’s blog. I love him. I love him so much. I want to spend the rest of my love with him. Yeah, I have him now.

..Are you happy with the way people perceive you?
......* Why would I care? I just wanna be with Sean. My pretty, pretty Sean.

..Does your author ever try to take over the story? And how do you deal with it?
......* What’s this author you’re talking about? There’s no author. There’s nobody else. Only me and Sean.

..What was the best sexual experience you’ve had?
......* *eyes twinkling* You know what it was. With Sean, of course. He cuddled with me, and the sounds he made as I fucked him made me go insane.

..What was the least interesting thing that has ever happened to you? (In bed or out.)
......* *looks blankly* Shut up. Shut up!

..What’s your take on Nate Matthews, Sean’s boyfriend?
......* *jumps up* I tell you what, Lady. There’s no Nate. Nate never exists. There’s only me and Sean. Got it?!

~ Blurb ~
......* When actor Sean O’Reilly receives a flower bouquet containing a single black rose on set, he assumes they’re from his boyfriend Nate. But they aren’t. Flowers keep arriving for him after that, each with a black rose in the arrangement. Soon other things arrive as well, such as photos and a recording of Sean’s voice. As the number of flowers dwindle with each bouquet, Sean begins to worry they’re supposed to be some kind of a countdown ... but to what?
......* Fan Gene Scott worships Sean. He maintains a blog dedicated to the actor and writes out all his fantasies there. He wants Sean to belong to him, and only him, and he’ll do anything to make the actor his own. He can’t accept the fact that Sean has a boyfriend. To Gene, Nate might as well not exist.
......* Despite increased security and all efforts to keep him safe, Sean vanishes, and Nate feels as if his world has come tumbling down. When the police response is too slow for him, Nate enlists the help of his producer and bodyguard to find Sean. Will he manage to find his lover before Sean disappears forever? Or will Gene finally get what he’s always dreamed of, and make Sean the love of his life, instead? ..
~ Excerpt ~
......* “They’re just flowers, okay? Look. I’m tired and I really don’t have anything more to say. If you'll excuse me." Nate walks past Scott, going toward Sean who is still sitting at the same spot, alone. Nate glances over at Osborn who is now with the police, presumably giving his statements to them.
......* "Sean," he says softly as he sits beside Sean on the pavement. He puts his hand on Sean's knee, stilling it.
......* “Nate --” There's a tremor in Sean's voice.
......* Nate turns his head toward Sean who is looking even more agitated than before.
......* "Hey, man.” He puts his arm around Sean's shoulders, pulling him close, kissing him on the temple. He can feel Sean shaking. "I've got you."
......* “They found a picture,” Sean says abruptly. "Inside the flowers. The police showed it to me."
......* “What picture?” The police didn't say anything to him about that. Nate's stomach sinks. Sending flowers is one thing but pictures? Of Sean?
......* "It's one of me. Sleeping. Inside the house." Sean's voice is bordering on the hysterical now. "Whoever it is must have used a long-lens camera or something. How could they get through the gate, Nate?"
......* "Ssh, baby.” Nate tries to put as much reassurance as he can in his voice. Someone has to remain calm even though Nate is feeling anything but. He puts both his arms around Sean, can feel him trembling, and holds him even tighter. "Breathe with me, c'mon."
......* Sean stills and takes a deep breath. “Can we go home now? Have the police finished with us?"
......* "Yeah. Yeah, I think we can go home now." Nate stands up and holds out a hand to pull Sean up. They hold each other tight for a moment longer, both of them unaware of a pair of eyes watching them from a distance.
