A Look At #Pelaam & 'Redemption' @evernightpub #Gay #SciFi #PlanetAlpha

Today we have author Pelaam visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* I am a New Zealander and live with my partner in a very beautiful clean, green country. I am a foodie, a wine buff, and an Art Historian. I’m an avid reader, especially sci-fi, paranormal and fantasy. I consider myself a writer of m/m romance across time and space, and have been a published author for several years.

A look into...
~ Blurb ~
Planet Alpha TM
* Life on planet Alpha should be an idyll for Sukh, but his soul is tormented knowing his family's standing on Xyran has dropped due to his capture. How can he be happy knowing they are suffering due to him?
* Nakai finds his contented home life with his bondmates disrupted by Tokala, a rich and powerful Alphan with an agenda of his own, while Einian fears their family is breaking apart from forces he's powerless to stop.
* When Sukh and Nakai fall into the clutches of an old and deadly enemy, Einian doesn't hesitate to go after them, and he doesn't care what he may have to do to save them.
* Can the lovers find redemption on Xyran?
Be Warned: m/m sex, menage (MMM) sex, rimming
~ Excerpt ~
* "I'm sorry to bring you from your home, Master Nakai, but there are concerns in the town with regards to the Xyran."
* "His name is Sukh, and he's my bondmate. I would request that you remember this and address him accordingly." Nakai drew himself to his full height, giving him a couple of inches over Pimne.
* "But of course, Master Nakai." Pimne gave a forced smile and acquiesced immediately.
* This was hardly what Nakai expected. However, on seeing how quickly Pimne had backed down, Nakai decided to go on the offensive. "Giving consideration to the fact that Sukh has never come into town, except in my company, I truly wonder what concern there can be."
* Trying to regain control of the situation, Pimne tried to mimic Nakai and also drew himself up tall. “Master Nakai, as town Magistrate I have to ensure all is in order within our community.”
* “Of that I have no doubt, Master Pimne." Nakai inclined his head. "But I'm at a loss to know why anything should be levied against my mate, who is always at my side."
* "Master Tokala has expressed concerns."
* Now things made sense. At least a little. Tokala was new to the town and seemingly as determined as Pimne to consolidate a position of political power. Nakai instantly decided that Tokala was not going to use Sukh to gain status in the town.
* "I see. However, it seems to me that perhaps the … issue surrounding my mate owes more to Master Tokala’s view of Xyrans, or even his political aspirations, rather than to of my fellow townspeople who have said nothing to me, your predecessor who only retired so recently, or our incumbent Mayor.”
* "Master Tokala feels that to see a Xyran, unleashed, walking our streets, is distressing to our women and children."
* At the furious look Nakai aimed at him, Pimne looked even less assured, and Nakai decided to press his advantage.
* "Indeed? Then why have I not heard it from mates and parents? As I understand it, Master Tokala is newly settled in our town. I doubt that my bondmates and I have been in town more than twice in that time. Who is complaining to him? And why? He isn't the Magistrate. You are. Nor is he Mayor. Although I have heard rumor he intends to stand. I ask again, is this related to his, shall we say, political aspirations?"
* The obvious loss of color to Pimne's cheeks told Nakai all he needed to know. It didn't surprise Nakai that Pimne probably thought of him as a country bumpkin. Since taking Sukh and Einian as his mates, there was almost no reason for Nakai to leave the comfort of his home and estate. Prior to that he either managed his estate or did his military service. He'd never made a point of being vocal in the town's political arena.
* Maybe it was time that he was.

A Look At J. J. Lore & 'Ruled' @JJLore1 @evernightpub #PlanetAlpha #menage

Today we have author J. J. Lore visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* J. J. Lore needs three things; strong, black coffee, time to write, and…well…you can guess the third. When she isn’t inventing fantastical tales filled with passionate people, she’s shaking sriracha on whatever she’s eating or reading about the Justinian plague. For updates on her bestselling erotic romance releases, visit her at the links below.

What book are you going to tell us about today? Is it part of a series? If so, what's the order the books should be read in?
* My latest Planet Alpha book, Ruled is now available. It’s part of a special line of sci-fi erotic romances from Evernight Publishing. They’re all stand-alone stories so you can start anywhere and enjoy them in whatever order you prefer.

How'd you/your muse come up with this story?
* This story came from two impulses. First, my critique partner for Unexpected, another Planet Alpha book asked me if Prince Edem, who briefly appears in that story, would be getting a book of his own. I guess he made an impression. Second was my other male character, Mallet, getting into my head and grumbling that Prince Edem always got all the attention and he’d like to get a chance to be a hero in a book someday.

Describe the hero in five words.
* I have two heroes, so I’ll just pick Mallet: smart, confident, sophisticated, strong, and protective.

Describe the heroine in five words.
* Corrine is humble, industrious, brave, kind, and loving.

If ménage/multiple partners, then pick a third hero or heroine to describe in five words.
* Oh, good, now I can talk about Prince Edem! He’s impetuous, passionate, open, arrogant, and loyal.

Who's your favorite character in the book & why?
* Mallet. He’s so conscientious about taking care of everything his bondmate the Prince needs; security, food, comfort. He also discovers he has room in his heart for another love when he meets Corrine, no matter how difficult the sacrifice.

What's your favorite line in the story?
* That wide chest she’d sheltered against before was somehow bare and hers to touch so she ran her hands along the sweeps of muscle, threaded her fingers through the hair that dusted it, raised herself up to lick first one pebbled nipple, then the other.

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
* While on a clandestine visit to Earth, Prince Edem of Alpha and his bondmate Mallet by chance meet a humble cook who intrigues them. The impulsive prince feels a brief fling with an exotic human female sounds like the perfect way to conclude their travels, while his more pragmatic bondmate urges caution.
* Despite all the reasons to avoid her, the Alphans seek her out, intrigued by her prickly pride and defiant disposition. For her part, Corrine is intimidated by these imposing and mysterious alien men, but finds herself overwhelmed by their determined courtship.
* Edem and Mallet convince themselves their deepening feelings for Corrine do not have to include bonding, since such a commitment is forbidden by the King and subjects of Alpha, determined to keep the bloodline pure. But when danger threatens, the three are forced to choose between having the galaxy at their feet or losing each other forever.

* They made her shake. She’d thought it was first with anger, then fear, but as Mal eased his mouth against hers while Edem circled his fingers down her back, she knew she was shaking with lust. How had she gotten here? She’d been so insulted by the gift she’d rushed to them thoughtlessly and had somehow admitted to them she was frightened of sex, but now was barely able to keep on her feet for the heat blooming in her pussy.
* Someone’s hands were pulling at the hem of her shirt, and she drew away from Mal to glance down and discover Edem had insinuated his fingertips underneath the material and was now rubbing along her bare waist. Her skin tingled. Mal reached for her buttons and had the front of her shirt open before she realized what was happening. When the cool air reached her nearly exposed breasts, she automatically reached to bring the edges back together, her breath rushing in and out with a mix of desire and caution.
* “Let us see and touch. Just here,” Edem said softly as he caressed her lower back. Mal stared at her, his eyes darkening as he gave a slight nod. It was stupid to even consider it, but she seemed to be doing lots of stupid things lately. This could be the test. She could say no and hope they would stop. Would they let her control this? She didn’t want to say no yet, though. She sucked in a breath and urged her stiff fingers to cooperate as she released her grip on the shirt. She was wearing a bra, so she could say no when then tried to remove that final layer and expose her.
* Edem let out a sigh and tugged at her sleeves, her blouse falling from her shoulders. She couldn’t stop her shiver as the cool air trickled across her back and stomach. Mal tightened his grip on her waist, and with a start she realized he had a sizeable erection and it was pressed into her belly. Normally, she’d shy away, but somehow knowing how aroused he was pleased her rather than made her anxious.
* Mal trailed his fingers along her collarbones. “You’re lovely.”
* “So delicate,” Edem chimed in, and she glanced at him, wondering what he thought of her faded, repaired bra. He was a powerful man on his planet and was probably used to women who were perfumed, groomed, and attired in beautiful chiffons and laces. She failed on all counts.
* Sliding his hand along her side, Edem cupped one of her breasts, pushing her flesh slightly up. Her nipple contracted in a painful nub, and she inhaled deeply. He ran his thumb over the sensitized bit of flesh, and the material of her bra bit into her.
* Mal dipped his head her way, long strands of his dark hair trailing along her bare shoulders. He pressed a kiss to the top swell of the breast Edem was holding, and she shook at the sensation of both of them caressing her in synchronicity. She clenched her hands in confusion. She wanted to touch them but wasn’t sure how. She’d always been confused and tense with the few men she’d been with, which had undoubtedly contributed to her discomfort with the act.
* Soft lips nibbled at her neck, and she leaned away from him, not to avoid the touch as she should, but to allow him more room. The ticklish sensations crept over her nerves, and she compulsively reached up to clutch at Edem’s head, her fingers sinking into his surprisingly silky hair. He bit her throat gently in response, and a surprised moan burst from her. Before she could think further, Mal had fastened his mouth over her nipple and pressed his teeth to the sensitized flesh. Her whole body jolted uncontrollably, and she cried out, unable to hold back the sound of surprise and excitement.
* “It would be better without this,” Edem whispered in her ear as he ran his fingers under the shoulder strap of her bra. Mal rumbled against her breast, and she reached her other hand out to trace into his hair, careful to avoid those curving horns. “May I?”

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
* Working to heal wounded Alphan warriors is the new duty of bondmates Leo and Deklan. Although they have recovered from severe injuries received on the field of battle, they are no longer fit to fight. They have accepted this, but then their orderly, all-male existence is turned upside down when an injured human female becomes their new responsibility.
* Aura Tremain wakes up in an alien hospital, healing from a beating delivered by the scaly Xyrans who’d kidnapped her. Upon her discharge, two handsome Alphan men offer her refuge until she’s well enough to travel.
* Even though Leo and Deklan know they will never be permitted to bond with Aura as their souls demand, they can’t ignore the desire she stirs in them. Her time with them is short, but so intense. Will the intimacies they share be strong enough to withstand the expectation that bondmates are for battle-worthy warriors? Can their passion bind the three of them forever?

* “We’re Alphans,” Leontus said as he reached into her lap to retrieve the greyish oval that had been attached to her face. His knuckles bumped her upper thighs, and her skin quivered.
* So these were the fierce warriors people had been talking about in the last few months. If she believed the whispered gossip and intermittent and hysterical news reports, she was sitting in the presence of the beings who could save humanity if only they would open their borders and give the billions suffering on Earth another few planets to ruin. She was too insignificant a player in galactic events to have much of an opinion, other than that these two men seemed quite civilized and didn’t fill her with revulsion like the Xyrans had. She would have shrugged, but the warm thing pulsating against her shoulder held her back.
* Tearing her gaze from the two imposing males in front of her, she took in her surroundings. They were in a small room, about four meters square. The furnishings consisted of a bed, a wide chair, and a black cabinet. Very utilitarian. Not especially alien. “Where am I? Why am I here?”
* “You’re here to recover. Gain your strength before you are returned to Earth.” Leontus approached the bed and stood close to her, his gleaming eyes inspecting her face, or her injury, rather. His hand curled near her cheek, and he hesitated a moment, then lightly traced his thumb across the spot where the alien—the Xyran, had struck her. His eyes darkened, and some shiver of awareness flew along her nerves. She knew she should be scared, terrified, but instead simply waited for the next word, the next touch. Her belly fluttered with nervous energy. “How does this feel?”
* As Leontus asked the question, Deklan reached out and removed the device from her shoulder. The loss of its weight combined with the strange sensation of having her arm back under control made her shiver. Without a word, Deklan was pulling at the shirt she was wearing, baring her upper arm and collarbone to their view. She made a half-hearted attempt to cover herself, but their big, strong hands were undeterred as they stroked gently over her skin. She remembered the blank agony that had struck her dumb when the Xyran hit her, but none of that pain remained, only a vaguely tingling numbness, like she’d slept in a funny position all night.
* They were only making a clinical inspection, but Aura was embarrassed to find her body heating up, pulses timed with her accelerating heartbeat throbbing between her legs with every brush of their fingers against her skin. A dark part of her brain wanted them to tear the rest of her borrowed clothes away, check her thoroughly for any bruise or cut, prod at her until they declared her fit and she was wet and satisfied. Both of them touching, kissing… She blew out a huff to clear her mind of that bizarre desire. Why was she thinking about that? Why was the idea of being naked in front of them making her breathe hard, making her nipples tighten? The Alphans drew back.
* “Did we hurt you?” Leo asked.
* She shook her head. What she was experiencing was far from pain. No, better to keep those thoughts to herself. These courteous males would likely be revolted that some alien woman found them attractive. Insistently attractive. She must have sustained a head injury to be this mixed up.
* “Good. I’ll schedule a visit from the physician in the morning. He can give you any details about your injuries you desire.”
* “So am I healed?”
* Leo nodded once and looked to Deklan, who asked her to extend her arm, raise it up, circle it. She did do with a few flickers of pain, but no major impediments.
* “Very good range of motion. We’ll evaluate further tomorrow. Now you should try to sleep.” He handed her the glass of water from before, and she swallowed it down, hoping the cold liquid would calm the rush of sensations in her body, not to mention the unwarranted sexual longing in her brain.

A Planet Alpha tease! ~ @evernightpub #MWTease #Menage #PlanetAlpha

Welcome to the middle of the week!
Mid Week Tease is an event where authors are spotlighting a few lines or a paragraph or two from their stories. Readers, you get to sample some delicious snippets and be teased, titillated and tantalized into the weekend!

This week I'm happy to give my blog over to J. J. Lore, author of Bondmate, a Planet Alpha story from Evernight Publishing. Enjoy!

~ Blurb ~
* Decorated Alphan warriors Mateen and Bynton are on a clandestine mission to one of Earth’s refugee camps, in search of the one woman who might complete their bond. Tempering their instincts to capture and hold, both men realize they must court their chosen woman to win her trust.
* Avanelle Rein is merely trying to survive in the chaos of a dying society. The last thing she expects is rescue at the hands of golden-skinned alien men. Despite her attraction to them, she fears their warrior ferocity.
* Facing danger from Xyran raiders draws the three together as they explore their new relationship and one another. An unexpected challenge during an ancient claiming right forces Avanelle, Bynton, and Mateen to decide if their bond is strong enough to survive.
~ The Tease! (a.k.a. Excerpt) ~
* The men looked at each other and softened their hold on her enough that she could move a bit.
* “We want to talk to you.” Mateen stared at her, his brows lowered.
* “Learn about you.” Bynton released his hold on her arm long enough to adjust the way her cowl fit against her head. She swerved away from his touch, and he dropped his hand.
* “Didn’t have to grab me to do that.” It was only bravado talking at this point. She knew her legs were going to shake soon and she’d fall. Too little to eat over the last few weeks, running and screaming, terror, had all stolen away whatever she’d been holding in reserve.
* “We did. We needed privacy with you, and that wasn’t an option at the camp, was it?” Mateen’s voice was low, his reasoning logical. No, there was no privacy in the camp for anyone. She hadn’t had a moment of silence or peace since the soldiers had forced the evacuation of her apartment block in Puerta Santigo over a month ago, not that she’d had much solitude there. A blanket sectioning off half a tiny room hardly counted as a home. But she’d belonged there. Once she’d been evacuated her life had turned to hunger, filth, and desperation.
* “Privacy for what? Are you going to kill me?”
* Mateen narrowed his eyes, and she felt Bynton release her entirely as she asked her question.
* “Kill you? Why would we—?”
* “To eat me. The devils like to eat us, or so the stories go.”
* “We aren’t devils.” Bynton took a step away and jammed his hands on his hips, throwing his broad chest and thick arms into perfect display. “We are decorated warriors of a respected house, not uncivilized cannibals.”
