1NS Bl0g H0p ~ Day 3 ~ the 'Sunset' ladies ( @crmoss @decadentpub #1NSHop )

Today I wanted to share a bit about the ladies in my 1NS Sunset stories. :)
In Sunset Desires I introduce the four Tramonto women ~ Gwen and her sister Ivy and their cousins Heather and Seana. And in this story, set in Grand Cayman, Gwen has her 1NS date which was set up by Heather. In fact, Heather is the mastermind behind all the 1NS dates for the women. Nice of her, eh? So here's Gwen, not a classic beauty but not ugly either, who's an overworked cocktail waitress on vacation with her family when the date is sprung on her. Her match, Evan Cadell, is a handsome fellow who is happy to fulfill her biggest fanatsy. For more info and to purchase Sunset Desires visit Decadent Publishing
   Sunset Seduction
sees Heather having her own date. She's a strong woman who's been independent for years and successful in business. She figures a quicky in a hotel room in Las Vegas will satisfy any need she has for intimacy. Boy was she in for a surprise when her date showed up and she learned who he was! For more info and to purchase Sunset Seduction visit Decadent Publishing

Ivy and Seana will each have a date in the next two books ~ Sunset Temptations and Sunset Heat. These stories are currently works in progress which I'm hoping to have done and submitted in the next couple of months.
Ivy is an athletic woman and thrill-seeker who can't seem to settle down for anything. She lives with her best friend, a bi male named Kiran. His friends call him Ki ('Key') for short and he ends up on a matched date the same night that hers is to happen. The tag line for Sunset Temptations is Two's company and three's never a crowd. Be on the look out here on my blog for more info on this story as it comes available!
The last book Sunset Heat ties in with book three since Ivy, Kiran, and Seana are heading to the same place for some pre-high school reunion events. Seana hooks up with an old crush who comes to her rescue when she finds herself in a spot of trouble. Again, keep tuned to my blog for details on this story and the others. :)
Tomorrow for Six Sentence Sunday & the last day of the 1NS hop I'll be sharing lines from Sunset Seduction so please stop back and comment!
Along with the great main prizes being given away for the hop (see the list here: Blog Hop Info) I'm also giving away an E copy of Sunset Desires in celebration of this hop. So be sure to comment and leave your name and email with it to be entered in my drawing and the main one. 1NS Bl0g H0p ~ Day 2 ~ The Beauty and Romance of a Sunset ( #FF @crmoss @decadentpub #1NSHop )

Sunsets. Viewing them is a simple pleasure of mine. The phenomena are such a beauty to behold and so varied in their coloring depending upon location, season, and atmospheric conditions. It’s due to living in Las Vegas that spurred on my love of sunsets. [See, it’s not all about the strip and gambling! ;)] I’ve seen some spectacular ones with gorgeous fiery reds, oranges, and yellows or amethyst and fuchsia to name a couple. This is a picture I took of a sunset near a place I used to live in.

In the summer of 2008 I went on my first cruise. We stopped at ports in Cozumel and Grand Cayman. It was so nice enjoying the beauty of the water, the beaches and the sunsets, especially since we live hours from an ocean beach in a desert area. One late afternoon we were hanging out on a patio just off one of the ship’s dining rooms and experienced a beautiful golden sunset.

Did you know that there is a little place called Hell on Grand Cayman? In Hell you’ll find a group of short, black, limestone formations roughly the size of half a soccer field. There are two viewing platforms for tourists since people aren’t allowed to traverse in the area. It’s claimed that the name derived from the fact that if a pebble is thrown out into the formation, it echoes amongst the limestone peaks and valleys and sounds as if the pebble is falling all the way down to hell. But I digress… We spent the bulk of our time on Seven Mile beach and had food and drinks at a little bar/restaurant. The open air, pub-style beach bar reminded me of a Southern-style wraparound porch except this place had a tin roof. The experience of the cruise and visiting Grand Cayman inspired me to write a few stories, including my first Decadent Publishing 1NS release Sunset Desires.
Sunset Desires ~ A blind date. A hot tropical evening. She’ll be someone he can’t forget. He’ll fulfill her ultimate fantasy.

Back to Las Vegas… I love setting stories in the city, not just because I live here but also because, like sunsets, it’s such a diverse place—lots to do and see on the strip and off. My next sunset story, Sunset Seduction, takes place in a hotel room in Las Vegas. The characters have a view of the city and mountains and both take note of the setting sun. I describe the sunset’s colors as the sun settles and dips behind the western range, setting the scene for romance. And, the cover—done in the spirit of the story, sunsets and the exciting city of Las Vegas—is hot!
Sunset Seduction ~ One evening. One date. Easy right?
Aside from my love of sunsets, there’s another reason ‘sunset’ is used in the titles for the stories I’m writing, but you’ll have to read them to find out what it is. ;)

1NS Bl0g H0p ~ Day 1 ~ Las Vegas ( @crmoss @decadentpub #1NSHop )

Most people who know me know that I love living in the Las Vegas valley. One of the main reasons we moved from the Northeast to the southwest was because of the weather. The snow and rain and humidity got the better of us back east, and we couldn’t stand it anymore. People who know DH and I have often wondered and asked us about this considering we were born and raised in the north. Shouldn’t we have been acclimated to it all? Well, yes, once upon a time we had been, but right after we were married, we moved to Texas for a few years. It was there we realized we liked the warm weather and lack of snow, but circumstances had us returning to the northeast. After several more years back where we grew up, we knew we had to get out. Another big reason for our move, which was tied into the weather aspect of our decision, was that, at that time, my husband was into duathlons and triathlons. He was serious about his training and his goal was to make it to Kona, HI for the Ironman tri (Swim 2.4 miles, Bike 112 miles, Run 26.2 miles -- Ironman). So one hot, muggy, awful August day, I asked
him if we should move to a location that had better weather. He said yes, and less than a year later, we were in Las Vegas…enjoying the sun, the blue sky, the dry climate. Training was better for him since he didn’t have to contend with rain, snow, humidity…
I was part of his support team, going to races as a spectator and volunteer, helping out on training runs and rides, acted as moral support in our home. Many mornings we were up at the crack of dawn…sometimes out the door by 4 AM to get to a race by 5 AM (yep, ‘two fives in a day’ and one is much too early for this ol’ girl. LOL!) One time here in town for the marathon, I spent close to four hours standing by myself near the finish line, guarding a bag of gear and goodies. It’s a good thing I have an imagination and know how to entertain myself!

So, how did hubby and I decide on Las Vegas as a place to live? We traveled here for a number of vacations, then when we finally made the decision to relocate, we came out over a Thanksgiving weekend to look at homes. Talk about turkey overload. Hubby and I went to two different buffets that day! The first one was around lunch time. We ate at the Carnival World Buffet over at the Rio. Lots of food, great seafood and of course we had our share of the Tom bird. Later that day, actually into the evening when we realized we were hungry again (yes, hours later…lol!) we went to the buffet in the hotel we were staying in and had a second Turkey day meal. I’m amazed we didn’t pass out at the table or have to be rolled out of the dining area! Did you know that there are races here in town called Turkey Trot and Catch the Gobbler? They’re races between 5K and 10K and the events also offer 1 mile walks. We also came out one year for the marathon. This used to be when it was held at the end of January, beginning of February. The marathon is now held in the beginning of December. I’ve even written a couple of stories incorporating Las Vegas and the races.

So you might be asking ~ What does this all have to do with the 1NS series and my 1NS books? Well, I like using Las Vegas as a location and some of my experiences here in my stories. My first Decadent Publishing release, Sunset Desires, though not set completely in Las Vegas has a character from the area and the story ends in a Las Vegas casino. The second book, Sunset Seduction, is set in a hotel room (similar to one hubby and I stayed in when he was in the marathon) in Las Vegas and the last two books I’m planning will be set in and around the city. I’m excited about being with Decadent Publishing and being a part of their 1NS line of stories. For more info and to purchase Sunset Desires visit Decadent Publishing & For more info and to purchase Sunset Seduction visit Decadent Publishing. Keep tuned here on my blog during the next few days for more on my 1NS books!

Six Sentence Sunday for Apr. 29 ~ Sunset Desires ( #sixsunday @6_Sunday @DecadentPub )

Six Sentences from Sunset Desires

    “Why? Is there more?”
Gwen froze, trying to keep her expression neutral since he still fixated on her via the reflection. She couldn’t tell him, didn’t want to tell him about the rest of her silly dreams. His uncle had paid for his set up just as Heather had paid for hers. He’d said he’d saved up for the room and outfit. It wasn’t like he had money and could fulfill her whole fantasy, so why bring it up?

His mouth, so very close to her throat, let slip wicked hot breath against her skin. If he were a vampire, this would be the part where he’d bite her. She leaned back, bare parts of her skin encountering the hard planes of his chest.

“Now you know. I could answer most of the questions on my own, but there were those few I needed help with.”

Saturday Snapshots ~ More "Sunset" #SO @crmoss @DecadentPub

In celebration of my first Decadent Publishing release Sunset Desires I'm talking about sunsets.
Yesterday, I visited Decadent's One Night Stand blog and shared some pics and also background information about my story.
Today I'm sharing photos I recently took of a sunset here in Las Vegas.
I like how the colors paint the clouds in this pic.

It looks like the tree's on fire in this one.

This picture was taken at a slightly different angle. Not only do I like it since there's more blue/purple than orange/yellow, but I saw faces in the clouds. I took the liberty of penciling where I saw eyes, nose, hair...see the last pic.

Interesting, eh? I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

For more on my newest release, Sunset Desires, feel free to read over yesterday's post and stay tuned for tomorrow's six sentences. Also visit: Decadent Publishing to pick up a copy of Sunset Desires today.

A blind date. A hot tropical evening. She’ll be someone he can’t forget. He’ll fulfill her ultimate fantasy.
Gwendolyn Tramonto is stunned to learn her cousin set her up with sex on the beach and it’s not the drink. But after a several year dry spell of no relationships, no dates…no sex, Gwen decides to take her cousin up on her offer and go out on the blind date. For once, she’d like to indulge in a fantasy, be wined and dined instead of the other way around, and if she and the man ended up in bed together, that would be a nice bonus.
Evan Cadell is looking forward to the date his uncle arranged for him through an exclusive matchmaking service and taking a one night break from work, life and all its demands. From Gwen’s profile, Evan knows what her fantasy is and believes he’s the man who can make it come true.
But will one night in paradise be enough to satisfy their desires?

One evening. One date. Easy, right?
Heather Tramonto, a business woman with only her career and a quickie on her mind, is all set for her 1NS date and a bit of adult fun–no conditions, no commitment–when a surprise shows up at her door.
Lane Stanwyck is entering the dating world after years of an estranged marriage and the passing of his hostile wife. When Madame Eve schedules an anonymous tryst for him–no conditions, no commitment–he believes it to be the perfect arrangement for his first time out in the dating field in ages. That is until he sees the woman of his dreams.
