a look at Beth D. Carter & 'Wicked Man' @bethdcarter @evernightpub #Romance #MotorcycleClub

Today we have author Beth D. Carter visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* I hate washing dishes but I love cooking. I hate washing clothes but I love wearing them. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters, ones who are full of angst but where love redeems them. I push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I hate people who don't pick up their dog's crap in public places and I really hate people who are rude and condescending. I especially hate discrimination in all and every form. The perfect birthday presents are gift certificates to bookstores. And I love to hear from readers. I’m really easy to find on social media.

* They say you can never go home, but Abbott has traveled a long way to find the love of her life again. She and Chadwick “Wick” Edwards had been high school sweethearts, but when he got the opportunity to become a member of The Forgotten Rebels Motorcycle Club, he left without saying good-bye.
* Wick knows he screwed up by leaving Abbott behind, but he honestly thought she’d be better off without him. Little did he know that out of heartbreak she turned to the first man to show her kindness…only to become a survivor of mental and physical abuse.
* Wherever she goes, her tormentor finds her. After ten years she’s tired of running and so goes back to Wick. Their passion sparks and love rekindles, but when Abbott is targeted, Wick must do very wicked things to make sure she stays alive.

Talking about @kayleacross @BethDCarter #WhosYourHero #BlogHop #AmazonFiveDGC

This month we're celebrating the men and women (and animals too!) that rock a uniform--whichever uniform that may be. Military, Police, Firefighter and all others who serve and protect. So...Who's Your Hero? Stop by each blog for a giveaway and to find out who OUR favorite fictional and real life heroes are...

* My heroes are the men and women who work to serve our country through all the branches of the military. My hubby, who served in the National Guard part time and the Army full time, is one of my real life heroes, as are my sister and best friend, two wonderful women who served in the National Guard and Army respectively as well.
* When it comes to military fictional heroes, two authors come to mind: Kaylea Cross and Beth D. Carter. Kaylea writes awesome militarty centered romances that have a lot of action and heat. As for Beth, though she doesn't write military specific stories, she does have a Motorcycle Club series and in those stories to be a member of the club you have to have served in one of the military branches. The first two books in the Forgotten Rebels MC series are Unbroken and Wicked Man, and I'm really looking forward to the next two stories she's working on in the series because they sound wonderful! If you haven't read either of these authors yet, you must!
* And to get you started on your Carter or Cross reading journey, I'm giving away a $5 Amazon GC to one lucky winner! Leave a comment below telling me who your favorite hero is (and be sure to leave your email so I know how to contact you should you win) to be entered for the GC.
* Also, be sure to visit the other hoppers and comment to be entered for their goodies. :) Thanks for stopping by today!

A Look At Amber Morgan & 'Tanner's War' @AmberMothling @evernightpub #MC #romance

Today we have author Amber Morgan visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Amber is the secret identity of a writer who normally pens urban fantasy, but feels like stretching her wings. Amber loves darker romance, anti-heroes, good red wine, and expensive chocolate (sometimes all at once). She's based in the UK and lives in an adorable cottage with her dream man and a demanding cat.

What are you going to tell us about today?
* Thanks for having me today! I'm delighted to be introducing my new MC romance series, Wild Blood MC, which kicks off with TANNER'S WAR. This is a whole new venture for me – I've beenr reading MC romances for a while, but I only recently gathered my nerve to try writing one. My usual fare as a writer is paranormal, and I had no idea if I could write anything else! But once Tanner and Beth popped into my head, I couldn't stop thinking about them, and I knew I had to try getting their story written. And hey, I had loads of fun doing it! Hopefully it's going to be just as much fun to read...
A look into...
~ Blurb ~
* He's not looking for trouble.
* Tanner is fresh out of prison and trying to stay clean. His place in Wild Blood MC demands it. But when he nearly runs over a terrified woman, trouble finds him. Beth needs a savior and Tanner can't say no.
* She's desperate to escape.
* Beth chose running over a forced marriage. She's got nothing and nobody – until she meets Tanner. But with a fanatical cult leader hunting her, can she risk staying with the first man to defend her?
* Tanner's willing to put it all on the line for Beth – even his beloved MC. The fallout will change both their lives.
~ Excerpt ~
* "What choice do I have? I've got nothing, nobody -"
* He whirled round and grabbed her by the shoulders, pulling her hard against his chest. She gave a little gasp, staring up at him with wide, tear-filled eyes. "You've got me now," he said, an unexpected fierceness rising in him. Before he could think better of it, he kissed her.
* It was probably a mistake. But fuck, she felt good in his arms. She melted into him, opening herself to his possessive kiss and pressing her soft body against him eagerly. He wrapped his arms around her, lifting her off her feet in his need to get as much of her as possible. She tasted sweet and fresh, and his cock hardened as he wondered if her cunt tasted as good as her lips. The thought spurred him to kiss her harder, deeper, sweeping his tongue over hers, then biting her lip. She moaned – half pain, half encouragement, but the sound cut through some of Tanner's blind lust.
* "Shit," he said, releasing her abruptly. "I shouldn't have done that."
* Her face crumpled and he realized too late how callous that sounded. He thumped the wall with less force, and ran his hands over his face, trying to compose himself.
* It wasn't easy. His cock was throbbing and his whole body felt hot and tight, wired for action. Beth stared at him with a mixture of hope and shame on her face, and all he wanted to do was snatch her back into his arms and start kissing her again. For starters, anyway. Everything else wanted to do to her...Well, fuck. She probably hadn't heard of half the things he wanted to do to her.
* "Don't you want me?" she asked, voice breaking.
* Well shit. Of course he wanted her. Look at her. Sweet hips, hot tits, lush lips...Who wouldn't want her? But not like this, with her drunk and vulnerable.
* "I didn't mean it like that," he said, reaching for her. "I just mean, you're...you know...And I'm...you know..." Shit. What was it about her that made him so damn tongue-tied?
* "I don't know," she said, hugging herself again and turning away from him slightly. “Don’t do things like that if you don’t mean them.”
* “I did mean it. It just probably wasn’t very appropriate.”
* There was a touch of bitterness in Beth’s laugh that he didn’t like. “Do you always worry about what’s appropriate?”
* “No,” he admitted. Well, this was going really fucking badly, wasn’t it? He laced his fingers behind his head and kicked at the scuffed boards on the porch, wishing he could go join the fights he knew were happening not far from here. Nash had him on probation though – no getting back in the cage until his actual probation was over. Tanner had tried to persuade him otherwise, but he’d realized that all his arguments made him sound like a teenager screaming you’re not my real dad and gave up out of embarrassment.
* But fuck it, he needed to fight tonight. It was an itch under his skin that would just get hotter and hotter the more he ignored it. He was tuned up all wrong, what with finding Beth, laying out that creep at Mia’s, and now that kiss. It was either fight or fuck, and the only woman he wanted to fuck…He glanced at Beth. She looked torn between bolting and throwing herself at him. He could have her, he knew that. Their kiss told him that. She might be innocent and scared, but she was electric in his arms. It would be really fucking sick of him though, wouldn’t it? She’d been assaulted, sexually and physically, in the past twenty-four hours by men she’d known all her life. For Tanner to take her now, when she was hurting and vulnerable…Yeah. Not okay.
* “Maybe I should go back to bed,” Beth said, running her fingers through her hair. “That beer’s hitting me pretty hard.” She managed a weak smile.
* Tanner didn’t want her to go. He wanted her to stay out here, even if they did nothing, said nothing. He wanted to know she was right by his side, safe and…and his. He groaned. “Yeah,” he said, “please go to bed. If you stay out here, I’m going to do something really inappropriate.”

A Look At Beth D. Carter & 'Along Came Merrie' @BethDCarter @totally_bound #menage #motorcycleclub

Today we have author Beth D. Carter visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* long time ago, my husband-at-the-time got into riding Harleys. I loved the exhilaration of being on the back of the bike. I had a jacket with red flames and our bike was painted cherry red. I even took a three day course to get my motorcycle license, and I passed…even though I laid the bike down twice.
* So when I write about what it feels like to be on a bike…I’m doing that from memory.

What book are you going to tell us about today? Is it part of a series? If so, what's the order the books should be read in?
* Along Came Merrie is the first book in the Red Wolves Motorcycle Club Series. It’s what I would call the prequel to the Red Wolves trilogy. It sets up this world and lead into the over-lining arc of the human trafficking story.
* The series of the books, in order, are: Along Came Merrie, True North, When Dove Cries, and Lily Roar.
* I’m also working on two follow-up books: Violent Delights and Violent Ends.

How'd you/your muse come up with this story?
* I love the tv shows Sons of Anarchy and Longmire, so my brain started to crossbreed the two. I didn’t want to do the obvious, though. One of the hardest things to deal with is the fact that the men are outlaw bikers. On one hand you have to stay true to the ideas set forth for one percenters but on the other hand, it’s a story where the heroes needs to be redeemable. On SOA, they’re gun runners, drug runners, and have no hesitation killing someone. I decided to focus on a smaller club setting, more of a family. The first book is pretty tame, but the following books are focused on human trafficking, so things escalate.

Describe hero #1 in five words.
* Braden McCormick: taciturn, scared, hesitant, loyal, caring.

Describe hero #2 in five words.
* Leo Cloud Dancer: brother, laid-back, deep feelings

Describe the heroine in five words.
* Merrie Walden: Strong, brave, clever, in love

Who's your favorite character in the book & why?
* I think my favorite is Leo, because he was interesting to write. I had to do a lot of research on the Shoshone nation, so he came as the full package. Back story, history, thoughts, feelings…he’s really the opposite of Braden, which makes them work well together.

What's your favorite line in the story?
* Okay, this is two lines, and really doesn’t have anything to do with this story, but sets up nicely for the next book: “I can’t imagine sharing a woman in a long-term relationship. A one-night stand, sure, but no woman is worth being in bed with another man’s junk for the long haul.”

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
* Merrie Walden is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She’s attacked by a vicious outlaw biker bent on shutting her up permanently when she sees something she shouldn’t, but luck is with her and she manages to escape by jumping out of a moving car. She’s found by horse rancher Braden McClintock, who takes her to his adopted brother, Leo Cloud Dancer, for medical attention.
* As she heals in the home of the two men, Merrie begins to realize that she’s falling for both of them. Braden is taciturn while Leo is outgoing and both reach a deep seated need that she hadn’t even realized she had.
* But before she can figure out if they can share a happily ever after, she has to survive the biker who’s found out where she is. Because even if she doesn’t know what she witnessed, he sure the hell does.
* And he wants her silent.
~ Excerpt ~
* She could see he wanted to believe her. But there was a world of hurt in his eyes that she didn’t know how to banish. Hopefully, time would help whittle away his insecurities.
* He cupped her face. “You’re so young.”
* “Not so young I haven’t lived,” she replied. “Not so young that I don’t know what I want.”
* “Would you like to try to make this work between us?” he asked.
* Once again, she looked between both men and read the sincerity in their gazes. Happiness swelled inside her as well as uncertainty. She’d never considered a ménage relationship and had no idea how to navigate the waters.
* “Have you ever done this before?” she asked.
* “No,” Leo said. “But learning is half the fun.”
* Braden swung her up into his arms and she squealed with delight. She wrapped her arms around his neck. He marched up the stairs with Leo following. At the top, he hesitated and glanced at his brother.
* “Mine,” Leo said. “I’ve got a king-size bed.”
