a look at Maia Dylan & 'No Impact' @Maiadylanauthor @evernightpub #Gay #Romance

Today we have author Maia Dylan visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Maia Dylan lives, loves and works in beautiful New Zealand. She married her best friend and they have two adorable, but stubborn children who obviously take after their father.
* Maia’s career has featured a lot of travel, and she has filled her time at airports and in the air with books, books and more books. Her love of erotic paranormal romance has seen her amass a huge library. She has been an avid reader and lover of ménage romances since she read her first book in this genre about three years ago.
* Outside of writing, Maia loves to eat, so she loves to cook! Her herb garden is legendary, but she still has issues getting tomatoes to grow. She’s been a performer for years, and has even sung on international stages, she would love to own a classic Ford Mustang one day and of course have the opportunity to race it on a race track without fear of a speeding ticket.
* Although ultimately her dream is to be able to write full time on a sandy beach with a Mai Tai at hand, she is quite happy to fit her writing in when she can. As long as someone reads her books, gets a laugh and maybe come to love her characters and much as she does, then she feels that she is living her dreams no matter what!

Q: Every book is special to an author. What is it about this book that makes it special for you?
* A: This is the second book in a series of four and it all stemmed from an image I found that sparked my interest. That is one of the very real reasons I love writing! You find inspiration everywhere and a story idea can strike at any time.

Q: Sometimes things happen when you are writing a series that wasn’t expected at all. Have you had this happen to you?
* A: Heaps! I am not a planner. I am a write-by-the-set-of-your-panties kinda girl. There have been moments where I will finish up a scene and be like WTF? I did not see that coming! This whole series started with an image I found that I simply couldn’t let go of.

Q. Why do you always include a danger element to your books?
* A. I write what I love to read. I love books that take you on a journey, but where the characters face a challenge that adds an element of urgency to them and to the book. As a reader, there is nothing I like more than getting that goose bump, hair rising on the back of my neck feeling as I join the characters within the book I am reading on the journey to solve their mystery. I want to give that to my readers.

Q. What are you working on at the moment?
* A. I have book nine of the Grey River series, as well as book three in the Sniper Team Bravo series. There is also a new Shifter Ménage series coming soon and a standalone MM as well. Soooo many stories to tell, so little time!

Q. Do you have anything to say to your current readers or to those that haven’t yet read you work?
* A. If you have read any of my books, thank you so very much! It blows my mind that someone has actually read something that I wrote, but gosh I hope you enjoyed it! Did you? Please let me know, I find I suffer from a slight case of needy-nelly with my writing. If you haven’t read my book, but you love erotic romance stories between strong men and an independent woman, where the path to their happily ever after can be a bumpy one, but there is always a happily ever after, and their love and laugher is real on every page, then you’ll find my books right up your alley!

What are you going to tell us about today?
* Thank you for hosting me for my latest release with Evernight Publishing, No Impact – Sniper Team Bravo 1. This book released on August 2. If your readers would like to they can post questions to me on Twitter using the following hashtag #SniperTeamBravo and tag me using @Maiadylanauthor and I will answer them as I see them.
~ Blurb ~
* Life is about making an impact, and risking everything to ensure you do…
* No impact on the target is the call that a sniper has missed, that their position is now compromised, and the firestorm it can bring could ultimately cost them their lives.
* Riley Marksmen has wanted Marcel Cross from the moment they first met. He just had to convince Marcel that he wanted Riley just as bad. When his first attempt with Marcel results in no impact, he is convinced that a future with Marcel is worth the risk of trying again.
* Marcel knows that there is something between him and Riley. He just has to find the courage to take the gamble in the first place. When secrets are discovered, and a threat revealed, it jeopardizes what they’ve only just started to build.
* Can they find a way to the future they’ve targeted, or will their risk leave No Impact?
***erotic romance, MM, Military, anal sex***

Megan Slayer & 'Seeking Davi' @ @GoddessFish #Gay #Paranormal

Today we have author Megan Slayer visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* When she's not writing the stories in her head, Megan Slayer can be found luxuriating in her hot tub with her three vampire Cabana boys, Javier, Luke, and Jeremy. She has the tendency to run a tad too far with her muse, so she has to hide in the head of her alter ego, but the boys don't seem to mind.
* When she’s not obsessing over her whip collection, she can be found picking up her kidlet from school. She enjoys writing in all genres, but writing about men in love suits her fancy best. The cabana boys are willing to serve, unless she needs them. She always needs them. So be nice to Javier or he will bite--on command.
* She also masquerades under the name Wendi Zwaduk and is published through Loose ID Publishing, Liquid Silver Books, MLR Press, Resplendence Publishing, Totally Bound Publishing, Ellora’s Cave, Changeling Press and Decadent Publishing.

A look into...
~ Blurb ~
* A place to belong and strong arms to hold him—but will this shifter get what he needs?
* After being rescued and taken to the Sanctuary, a refuge for lion shifters, Talisman knows he’s safe. But he’s restless. All the other shifters have paired up, except Talisman and one other shifter. The guy is fine, but he doesn’t make Talisman’s heart beat or his lion roar. Talisman refuses to give up looking for what he wants, but he never expected love to come running, stark naked, through a hole in the fence.
* Davi doesn’t understand what’s happened to him. One minute, he’s a happy lion at the petting zoo. The next, he’s being hunted and humans want to use his head as a trophy. When his hope is almost gone, two lions appear to show him an escape route. At the Sanctuary, he realizes his power to shift and the desires of a human male. He doesn’t trust humans, but there’s one shifter he wants to know better.
* Talisman and Davi must decide whether to give in to their animal urges or let the ghosts of the past tear their world apart for good. No matter what they choose, there’s one person who doesn’t want anyone, especially the shifters, to get their happy ending. As Talisman and Davi seek forever, it just might be ripped right out of their hands.

* The guy waited for the longer haired man to walk away then he sat in the grass. He didn’t say anything, remaining quiet.
* Davi watched him, unsure what to do. His cat wanted to sniff out the stranger and scope out the situation. Did Davi trust his cat? Yes, but not that man.
* Neither Davi or the guy sitting in the grass moved for what seemed like forever. Finally, the man spoke. “Davi? My name is Talisman. I don’t know if you remember me from the petting zoo, but I was there with you.” He didn’t look at Davi or even in Davi’s direction. “I think I’m a few months older than you. I remember being in the pens, having the kids pet us and feeling wonderful. Then the good feelings stopped. I know you’re scared. I was scared, too. Unlike the humans at the petting zoo, we won’t hurt you here.”
* Davi debated sitting up but remained hunched down. Maybe, he could trust Talisman, but he didn’t remember him.
* “It’s scary. You’ve shifted, and you don’t understand why. I know. I’ve been there. I didn’t shift until I was safe, but when it happened, I didn’t understand what was going on. It’s okay.” He glanced over to where Davi hid. “If you don’t come out, I can’t help you. I promise. I won’t hurt you, and I’ll help you get used switching between your cat and human forms.”
* “No.” Davi kept hiding, but decided to at least try to talk to Talisman.
* “Can you come out?” Talisman crawled across the grass, closer to Davi. “Would it help if I shifted?” He didn’t wait for an answer. Instead, he yanked his shirt up over his head then stood and shoved his pants down his legs. He kicked out of the boots and stood nude before Davi.
* Davi watched Talisman move. Wow. He’d never seen a naked man before, but if that’s what they looked like, he liked what he saw. His cat wasn’t upset, either.
* Talisman dropped to his knees and placed his hands in the grass. He lowered his head then wriggled. Fur sprouted on Talisman’s shoulders and back. His teeth elongated and a growl ripped from his throat. The fur spread down his chest to his belly and covered his legs. His hands and feet shifted into paws. When he shook his head, thick fur sprouted behind his ears and beneath his chin. Before Davi’s eyes, the man shifted into the lion.

Michelle Browne & 'After the Garden' @SciFiMagpie @GoddessFish #DarkFantasy

Today we have author Michelle Browne visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Michelle Browne is a sci fi/fantasy writer from Calgary, AB. She has a cat and a partner-in-crime. Her days revolve around freelance editing, jewelry, phuquerie, and nightmares. She is currently working on the next books in her series, other people's manuscripts, and drinking as much tea as humanly possible. She is all over the internet, far too often for anyone’s sanity, and can be found in various places.

Today Michelle Browne will be talking about how she became a writer and what inspired her in regard to the story she's promoting.
* Hello hello!
* The inspiration for the Memory Bearers series is more complex than it seems at first glance. In a way, I’ve been writing the story backwards, but I also started from the beginning. The original ending of the book, which was intended to be a stand-alone rather than a series, saw Ember and Kerrick literally riding off into the sunset! But who are Ember and Kerrick, you’re asking? Well, before Ember, there was Ambergris, and before Ambergris, there was Iris.
* Iris was a friend of mine in ninth grade. My family had just moved to Calgary, Alberta from Lethbridge, Alberta, and the large city was both daunting and exciting. Staring lovingly out my window at the

Amanda Meuwissen & 'Sidhe - The Incubus Saga: Book 3' @MissSuperCube @GoddessFish #LGBT

Today we have author Amanda Meuwissen visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* Amanda Meuwissen is the author of The Incubus Saga and The Collector. Amanda also serves as COO and Managing Editor for BigWorldNetwork.com. She oversees editing and series selection, and is featured as a narrator for several BWN series. Amanda lives in Minneapolis, MN, with her husband, John, and their cats, Helga and Sasha (no connection to the incubus of the same name).

Today Amanda Meuwissen will be talking about how she became a writer and what inspired her in regard to the story she's promoting.
* I don’t know if I could pinpoint the moment I first started writing and wanted to tell stories as a little girl, but my teen years writing fanfiction is what led me to want to pursue writing professionally.
* It was a Final Fantasy VIII fanfiction that sealed the deal for me. A particularly moving and difficult fanfic I was reading about the character Zell Dincht ended in tragedy with him taking his life. It followed a plot line I see a lot in fanfiction for that age group—depression, suicidal thoughts, because it’s something a lot of teens are experiencing, and writing about their favorite characters going through what they are can be very therapeutic.
* It was a long story that I eagerly awaited the updates on for each new chapter. I was confident it would have a happy ending, because of the struggles we as readers had been a part of, but sadly, no, at the end…Zell went through with his suicide and couldn’t be saved.
* I contacted the author explaining that I felt it would have been served better to end differently, that I wished there had been another way, and she responded that she agreed, but hadn’t been able to figure out how to write a happy ending. This began a correspondence between us that gave me permission to write an alternate ending for the fic where Zell lived. It was only three long chapters from me to rewrite the ending, but it was so meaningful to address those issues and how someone could begin to work toward healing, even if depression and such thoughts, especially at a young age, continue to be a struggle.
* When I posted the first chapter, which was where things initially deviated from a tragic end to a hopeful one, an anonymous reviewer opened their heart to me about how the changed ending had touched them, and that it had prompted them to look at their own life differently and struggle to find a way to want to keep living when they too had entertained thoughts of suicide.
* There is nothing more powerful than

precious minutes with D. L. Jackson @Dlaree69 @decadentpub #SciFi #romance

Today we have author D. L. Jackson visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* D. L. Jackson is a writer of urban fantasy, science fiction, military romance and erotic romance. She loves to incorporate crazy plot twists, comedy and the unexpected into her worlds. As a U.S. Army veteran, she naturally adores men in uniform and feels the world could always use more. She does her part by incorporating as many sexy soldiers in her novels as she can. When she isn't writing or running the roads, you can often find her online chatting with her peers and readers. Grab a cup of iced coffee, pull up your virtual chair and say hi. She loves emails and blog visits from her readers.

Today D. L. Jackson will be talking about how she handles balancing life and writing.
* I’ve been writing for almost ten years now, and published for eight of those years. Being an author and wife/mother/grandmother/employee is indeed a delicate balance. Time is the one currency, that once you spend it, you don’t get it back. There are no refunds, exchanges and discounts. You can try to save time, but honestly, once it slips through the hour glass it’s gone. It’s how you spend it that counts.

A Look At Starla Kaye & 'For Ruby’s Love' @starla_kaye @decadentpub #menage #western

Today we have author Starla Kaye visiting. Welcome!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* My name is Starla Kaye and I’m addicted to writing in many forms. I write romance in many sub-genres. I have dabbled with contemporary, Western historical, medieval, Regency, paranormal, and sci-fi. But I will admit that the majority of my heroes are cowboys.
* Whatever romance genre I write in, my men are going to be strong-willed, determined, self-confident, and slightly domineering. They are also going to butt heads with women who will bring them to their knees, and, of course, win their hearts.

What book are you going to tell us about today? Is it part of a series? If so, what's the order the books should be read in?
* Today I’m going to talk about my latest release from Decadent Publishing, For Ruby’s Love. It can be read as a stand-alone book, but it is actually the sequel to The CEO and The Cowboy.

How'd you/your muse come up with this story?
* Although my husband (a balding accountant) claims to be the muse/model for all of my heroes, he actually isn’t. At least not in appearance. I will admit that he is a very good man at heart, patient, and loving. Which is good, because while I consider myself good at heart as well, I tend to get a little impatient at times. I’m very impulsive, tending to act first and think later. I am loving, though. My source of inspiration for this story was the first story. I wanted to go into Calhoun and Daniel’s lives more, and give them something to further shake up their world.

Describe the hero.
* Alpha male Calhoun is a stubborn cowboy.

Describe the heroine.
* The heroine, Ruby, is independent and a skilled horse therapist.

Since this is a ménage, who's the third hero?
* Alpha male Daniel is an equally strong businessman.

Who's your favorite character in the book & why?
* While I like each of the characters, I would have to say Calhoun is my favorite. He faces a lot of challenges in both books. In the first one, he finally is faced with the fact that he is drawn to a man sexually: Daniel. He has sensed an interest in other men, but had up until they met only been involved with women. Daniel shakes him to the core of who he is and what he’s about, at least as a lover.
* In For Ruby’s Love, he is dealing with a tragic barn fire and the situation where his prized, valuable breeding mare is now traumatized. He and Daniel have settled into their relationship and Daniel has supported him through this emotional tragedy. Calhoun has made arrangements for the best horse whisperer in the country to come hopefully help his mare. Except it is a woman who shows up for the job. The trouble begins at that moment, both in frustration and an unwanted attraction.

What's your favorite line in the story?
* My favorite line in the story comes when Calhoun and Ruby are arguing. He has makes a stab at apologizing.
* “I apologize for acting like a….” He seemed at a loss for a description of his rather rude behavior.
* Helpful, she supplied one. “An ass.”

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
* Calhoun’s a simple cowboy with more problems in his life than he can handle at the moment. After nearly two years, he struggles to hang onto a relationship with Daniel, his first male lover. Daniel is worried about him because of the fire, his concern for his prized breeding mare, and because he is determined to buy the neighboring ranch to expand. But Daniel isn’t a businessman without goals of his own for expansion, a fact that frustrates Calhoun as well. He doesn’t want to lose Daniel, but will their differences finally be too much?
* Daniel considers himself a lucky man to have met the rancher, someone almost his opposite and someone who he doesn’t want to live without. Standing beside the moody Calhoun has been difficult since the fire that burned down a horse barn, took the lives of two valuable horses, and traumatized a favored mare. Along with all of that, his harried friend is determined to expand his ranch holdings. Daniel is against the purchase and would prefer to find a way to slow the man down. Lately, he’s also begun worrying if maybe he isn’t enough to satisfy his lover’s needs.
* Complicating everything even more, Ruby shows up later than expected at Calhoun’s ranch to honor a job as a horse therapist that her father had agreed to before his sudden death. She knows what happened to the mare and is certain she can help her, if given the chance. But the stubborn rancher can’t get past the idea of her being a woman, someone not strong enough to work with such a damaged horse. They butt heads over the matter until she finds an ally in Daniel. He is concerned and yet believes in her abilities. Another problem arises, though. She and Calhoun have been skirting around an unwanted attraction, and then she discovers another surprising interest between her and Daniel.
~ Excerpt ~
* He pulled open the over-sized front door and gaped at the bit of a woman shivering on the porch. She appeared a foot shorter than him and a good sixty or more pounds lighter. What hit him most were her eyes—an odd dark green, like jade or something. Her eyes narrowed as he looked her over.
* Finally, she stretched to her full minimal height and bristled at him. “When you’re done checking me out, do you think you could let me inside? It’s colder than cold out here.”
* Daniel stepped beside him and intervened. “Let the lady in, Cal.” He looked around her and asked, “Where’s your car? Assuming you drove here.”
* She slid between them into the tiled foyer before turning back. “No car. And I didn’t drive here, at least not exactly.” Her teeth chattered.
* Calhoun closed the door against the sharp winter breeze and watched her pull off a battered pink Stetson, unveiling chin-length strawberry-blonde hair. “What does ‘not exactly’ mean?” He added, “Who are you, anyway?”
* She worried her trembling lower lip and glanced from him to Daniel and back. She pulled off a glove and stuck out her hand. “Ruby McMurtry.”
* Instead of taking her hand, he puffed up in annoyance. “You’re late! Where’s your father?”
* She started to lower her hand, glowering at him. But he noticed something besides anger in the depths of those enchanting eyes. He couldn’t get a handle on the emotion.

Sinfully Sexy Saturday w. J.R. Gray @theoriginalgray @evernightpub @booksbygray #gay #BDSM #SSS

It's Saturday! Yay! Here's a sinfully good treat by author J.R. Gray to add to a great day. Welcome, J.R.!

What would you like to tell readers about yourself?
* When not staying up all night writing, J.R. Gray can be found basking in the warm glow of the Miami sun, or at the gym where it's half assumed Gray is a permanent resident. A dominant, pilot, and sword fighting enthusiast, Gray finds it hard to be in the passenger seat of any car. Gray frequently interrupts real life, including normal sleep patterns, to jot down nonsense. The bane of Gray's existence are commas, and even though it's been fully acknowledged they are necessary, they continue to baffle and bewilder.
* If Gray wasn't writing…well, that's not possible. The buildup of untold stories would haunt Gray into an early grave or possibly a mental institution where the tales would end up on the walls in crayon and finger paint.

What book are you going to tell us about today? Is it part of a series? If so, what's the order the books should be read in?
* My BDSM, gay erotic romance Breach of Contract

How'd you/your muse come up with this story?
* This story starts with an attraction that book one ended with and takes off with Jesse and George trying to get together when everything else seems to be falling down around them.

Describe the hero in five words.
* George - Sadist, boots, care-taker, mysterious, and gray.

Describe the second hero in five words.
* Jesse- Feisty, back-talk, blond, well-dressed, and lawyer.

Who's your favorite character in the book & why?
* Jesse is my favorite character. He is witty and even when submitting he pushes buttons with his big mouth.

What's your favorite line in the story?
* “You will learn to use that mouth of yours for good as well as evil.”

A look into the story
~ Blurb ~
* With the legal trouble behind them, Daniel Caplin and Rafael Argon are ready to settle into a low key d/s relationship, but life is unrelenting, when blackmail shatters their illusion of happily ever after. Pictures from one of the Rafael’s public scenes instill fear into his new Submissive, Daniel, acting as a wedge driving the new couple apart.
* The building peril in George’s community weighs heavy on his shoulders as he struggles to find the culprit while hiding his feelings for his new house guest. Jesse is torn between ending his marriage, picking up a rebound he should have left fifteen years in the past, and the dangling carrot of a possible relationship with a man. He is forced to fight for what he wants most, a leap he may be too chicken to take.
* In the sequel to Legally Bound George battles to take down an unknown enemy, while watching helpless, as those he cares for most are broken beyond repair. Can Rafael and Daniel rebuild their trust after it's broken with lies?
~ Excerpt ~
* The back elevator dinged as he approached, and the doors slid back to reveal Jesse's face. He had circles under his eyes and worry lines in his forehead. Two fingers held a garment bag over one shoulder and a duffle over his other.
* “Is it still okay if I stay?” He put a smile on his lips that George knew was fake.
* “But of course. Let me help you.” George approached him and tried to take the bag, but Jesse didn’t move to hand it over.
* “I’ve got it.”
* “Don’t be absurd. I would have a slave do it, but he’s rather tied up at the moment.”
* The statement earned a chuckle out of Jesse, and he gave up the bag. Even hurt Jesse had a light in his blue eyes and his heart on his sleeve, a trait that made him wholly unique compared to the masks most wore to impress George.
* “I can stay on the sofa or something if the slaves use the guest rooms.”
* George laughed and turned his back to stalk down the hall. When he didn’t hear Jesse following, he cast a glance over his shoulder.
* “Slaves in bed … how naive you really are, handsome.”
* Jesse started after him, brow creased. “Where do they sleep then?” He caught up and followed George to the other side of the penthouse.
* He realized Jesse was serious, and he laughed throatily again. “I have cages for them.”
* “I love you and Daniel, but your lifestyle is fucked.”
